E92 Complete Bass System Upgrade
Hey Guys, Been a long time since I've been here. I'm parting ways with my E92 M3 and parting her out. This audio system was built for the EP sound option. It was just over $3500 in parts after all said and done. I did the install and removal, and is completely plug and play. It kept a very OEM look and definitely is the way the car should have sounded from the factory IMO. Backstory - I did not want just to replace the under seat woofers with new ones as I didn't feel it would be sufficient for the sound immersion I was looking for. The higher you go in frequency, the more directionally aware the user is from where the sound originates from. With the EP option, upgrades were much more challenging due to the signal design on the MOST bus with the CIC and AMP. This system retains the factory amp for the mids and tweeters while offloading the load on the stock under seat woofers. This allows the stock amp to not work as hard (cooler), allowing for cleaner power to the remaining stock system. Thus allowing the whole system to sound better. The under seat woofers were designed for mid-low bass for sound quality for cabin immersion and the trunk 12" woofer was designed only to give you the bass sensation/feeling without being noticeable to it being behind you. I don't know why I didn't snap any pictures of the install, under the trim pieces or floor. This kit contains: - Trim Piece to hide the amp system - Zapco DC200.2 DSP Amp - Zapco DC500 DSP Amp - (2) 3 foot Symbilink cables - (2) Jehnert XE200 8" woofers - Ultimo 12" woofer - Custom finished woofer enclosure to match trunk carpet and sit over the battery - Technic EP integration harness - LC2i Audio control 2 channel processor - Amp Rack - All cabling required for signal turn on, power, fuses and speaker connection - Speaker ring adapters for under seat woofer fitment The amps are tune-able with software downloadable still from Zapco even though the amps are no longer in production. Let me know if you have any questions. Again its been a while so I might of forgotten something to showcase with this. Last edited by 1sexyfd; 01-08-2021 at 02:00 PM.. Reason: Finished install pic |

Bump for a good dude and a sick system. I have seen, heard, and experienced this exact setup for myself and it is quite impressive and looks very OEM. Buy with confidence!

Totally understood. That’s what I figured. If you don’t mind me asking, where did you acquire them?

Time has past - I never did sell this but I did reuse the 12" and 500 amp for a little while in a buddies car while I was removing other items on my M. (It was not installed in a BMW) Still looking to sell as a complete kit. Shipping is included.

Cleaning up the garage made me realize I still have this, so I logged on and thought I'd bump this. $3,500 new and I think I'd let it all go for $900.
