When will you buy the new ///M3?

The engine issues were real and a lot of owners are a little bitter about the treatment they got prior to the SMG cars exploding. The gearbox issues may be overstated.

The other common one is the rear suspension mounts ripping out of the car. The trailing arm bushing were underengineered and have a tendancy to tear if not closely monitored. Replace them every other year and you probably won't have an issue.

Overall BMW is much better than most companies. Its their dealers and BMW NA that give them the bad rap. BMW AG rocks, BMW NA sucks. They could still learn a thing or two from Lexus about customer treatment.

My local tuner/BMW specialist let me know about this early on in the E46 M3 release. I forgot until I read your post. Just another independent verification that this problem is real.

When the official word comes down as to whether a CSL version will make it to the States. If yes, its a CSL for me; if not, time to buy the E92 M3.

My lease is up on my crappy 05' Jeep Grand Cherokee in April 08'. I plan to lease or finance the new M3 at that point. Any reason to put a deposit down for that point in the future? Thanks

Aaahhh. Yes, I know, we definately could not. I'll be moving back to the US by then so I'm really hoping they won't be cruel to us again.
