pemium sound owners ...HELP! i reset my equalizer and now it sucks....help me tune it
i have the enhanced premium sound option on my 2008 m3 coupe.
noticed that my equalizer was customised when i got the car. I accidently reset the settings and now all the levels on my equalizer are centered, and my sound quality sucks. Can someone give me advice on custom equalizer settings to enhance my sound quality. I listen to mainly hiphop and house music, sometimes clasic as well. I like a crisp clear sound with a nice amount of bass. I adjusted my bass(90%) and treble(85%) accoridngly, however my equalizer is set in the middle.. what are optimal settings to have on my equalizer |

+1 I know Pencilgeek has done this in E90, but I dont like how his settings sound. Anyone else with luck? Has anyone noticed how some songs, and calls on bluetooth sound scratchy? Almost like too much treble or like a tweeter is blowing? I would like to resolve that problem as well! |

i dont like pencilkings settings because he purposly made them flat. I got the setttings to have high treble and bass by using the "u" setup. Right side is for treble, left is for bass! HOWEVER its still not perfect. and ya bluetooth vibrates.. Can someone post a picture of a god setup for some nice base and nice clear terble. CD QUAlITY, CRISP, STRONG lol Thanks |

The equalizer should look like a W. I'll try and take pics of it later.

buschy,
I am surprise if you aren't causing excessive distortion with those settings when you turn the volume up. Maybe things have changed since my day but the more gain you give to the freq. the more distortion you bring to the music. Also the 1khz is a freq. which the human ear is sensitive to and usually you tone this one down instead of up. But I will try it out tomorrow and report back my findings. |

Buschy,
I tried your settings and PencilGeek's settings and didn't like either. PG's is over bright for my ears and yours sound a little muddy but that is not to say there is a right or wrong setting, only which pleases the individual in question. I did take PG's advice and stopped using 'Concert', readjusted the balance and fader and have now got the sound stage closer to that of the S5, though my passengers are suffering but who gives a sh1t. Did some final tweaking to the freq bands and will post a pic soon. I just wished it had the bass that you felt as well as hear. |

you set an eq based on your sorroundings, so there is not set settings. and if your going to knock something post up better results. remmber my car is a convertible, the setting will be different from a coupe or sedan even to get equivelent sound.
