Ipod install question

Guys, I finally purchased my 2008 e92 M3. It's wonderful. There wasn't much selection on the specific type of M3 I was looking for, but I found one. It had every option except for the Ipod option. The salesman said you can get this option installed by any BMW dealer for a price (he couldn't because his dealer and no dealer around had the ipod adapter part). I was just wondering if any of you could confirm that I can get this ipod adapter installed by a dealership and turn out just like a factory job. Anyone know?

you can also retrofit the 6fl option
which adds Ipod and a USB plug
so you can use USB memory sticks to store music
nice an cheap

bump.. anyone else know if I can get this option installed directly from the dealership as if it were a factory job?

I was told that the kit for E9X M3s is not out yet, but should be in the next few months. Apparently it is slightly different from the retrofit kit installed in the regular E9X 3 series due to the different buttons on the steering wheel.
