Navigation on the 2009 M3
I went to see my new '09 M3 which just came off the truck and they said the hard drive for the Nav comes loaded with Germany maps, not US maps. There is no NavTech DVD anymore since they are using a new system with MapQuest, I believe. Does anyone know if the navigation maps need to be downloaded from the MapQuest site? No one seems to know, and of course, the dealer is clueless. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I would like the US version. I told them to program the nav for Stuttgart so I could go there to trade the car in for a Porsche...he he.

Your dealer sounds like an idiot. Your '09, like mine and everyone else's, will come with US maps pre-loaded onto the hard drive.

Well you can download and upload maps and contact info and maps directly from Googlemaps directly to the car, but not Mapquest
I just don't see how it would work if you had "German" Maps
