Wanted: Louder exhaust for E92 M3

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Please excuse my ignorance when it comes to exhaust options for the M3. I just want something louder than the OEM exhaust - much louder (but within legal limits and something that will not cause me to fail an emissions test). I don't want to break the bank, so it does not have to be a full replacement exhaust. Please pm me with what you have, and how much you want for it.

Thanks much!

secondary cat delete, and perforated exhaust mod. Sounds amazing, and qualifies all your needs.

I have this on my E90 M3, and could not be any more happy for what i paid to have it done. Little to no power gains, but the noise is a great balance.

Heh the $6000+ option. Akro is a lot of money for a rear section that won't give you any power.

I did the original Exhaust mod (replace perforated pipes) and love the sound. I'm concerned about how it will sound once I put on an x-pipe but I guess ill pass that bridge when I get there. For $200 can't beat it.

OEM Exhaust...

Appreciate all the offers. I checked the exhaust sticky and it seems the OEM exhaust mod gives you the most bang for the buck in terms of sound (not talking about power here). However, finding a reliable shop to do this in Ottawa could prove difficult, if not impossible

I'm working with an Ottawa shop (they're in Mountain, just south of the city) to get the OEM exhaust mod done. They are looking at the links and videos that I've collected from all of the great folks on this forum. I can let you know if they are interested in doing it for me.

They are concerned that the car will still be quiet enough to pass tech inspection at Calabogie.

PM me if you want me to get their info to you.

Where did you have this done, and do you remember the cost?
