Corsa Rear Section + Dinan X-Pipe (now with Gintani xpipe!)

Anyone done or heard this combo? Any sounds clips? Thoughts vs a full Dinan setup?

Either setup will sound great! The Corsa will have a deeper tone

I've owned both corsa and dinan, but not both with xpipes.

The dinan is deeper than the corsa. When I say deeper, this is relative to the corsa. They both have a high pitched exotic sound to a certain degree.

So I have a new corsa rear section unopened sitting in the box waiting to go on the car. Have a full Dinan setup coming soon now so trying to figure if I should break out the corsa and give it a try with the Dinan xpipe or just go full Dinan & sell the brand new corsa. Probably ought to go ahead and try them both for scientific purposes.

Please proceed with the scientific experiment and report back. Refute my statement of dinan being a little deeper than the corsa.

I've gone through 6 exhaust and have posted some of my finding here and there in different posts.

Alllllll the resonated goodness!!!

it's for fun, I wanna see what this system super resonated can give me. I want super crisp sound unless i'm ripping it. I'll probably go back to the catted fabspeed for just more volume but science is pretty fun too...

well that's quite interesting! I'm currently running Corsa with Test Pipes, just want it a bit more refined and high pitched!

I'm running a Evolve X with the Corsa set up. Should be similar in sound.

sooooo here is what I did on saturday...

RE Resonated TP
Fabspeed Full X-Pipe (took HFC, RE TP in its place) has two resonators at the rear of the x-pipe
Corsa Exhaust...

I wanted to hear this before going and adding the other two resonators in front of the "X" on the fabspeed. Glad i did....

First of all, I'm coming from NON resonated TP + stock 2ndary back+ ACM mod exhaust. This Setup has some very nice things to it. 1) Cheap 2) minimal to no drone 3)Super aggressive deep/some points up top rasp. Bang for the buck one of the best setup's. Reason for leaving it, I wanted to do something that nobody I can find has done as well as after hearing 100's of different setups working here, build what I believe to be a droneless, high pitched (exotic per say), NON raspy exhaust....

Nailed it...
the car sounds like no other E9x we have worked on here. It has a super high pitch, clean with little to no rasp (thank you 6 resonators), NO drone, and quieter all around. My cold start is great, my 1-3k grandma driving sounds intoxicating with none of that booming drone or resonance, up top keeps the high pitched exotic tone without making your ears bleed. I'm happy I didn't put the last two resonators in. If i keep the car another 6-7 years maybe i'll put them in to tone it down a little.

I have a few guys here video taping the RWB being built in the shop right now and one agreed to grab a video for me. Soon to come :-)

So, this is 6 resonators including the corsa mini-resonators? Interested in hearing the sound.

Get that video up yet? As a person who has gone through 6 exhaust setups, I'm itching to try a new one.

Do resonators actually decrease power or no?

That should work to tame rasp on an MPE too I hope.

well that's quite interesting! I'm currently running Corsa with Test Pipes, just want it a bit more refined and high pitched!

I feel you on the refinement. I watched your vids and the current setup is less refined compared to the magna and the AE. Strange, I liked the AE combo best, then the magna. I liked that the sounds were racey and not overstated and not loud when off the pedal, which made the car more dramatic when you got on the pedal.

I figure the in cabin experience is less exciting but on the outside its really good.

You made some really good videos for demonstrating the exhaust.

IMHO, micing directly on the rear bumper picks up tones we will never hear, imho it's pointless for demonstrating the exhaust but we all do it.

Just switched from AA catless xpipe (2 resonators only) and Corsa to AA test pipe and OEM seconday cat/resonators and Corsa...what a difference!...catless was wayyyyy too loud and raspy (whatever the heck that means?!) - especially under engine load...with the test pipe and oem secondary/resonators it's absolutely perfect...deep and exotic like...at all loads and rpms...purrrfect!
