Re-torque wheels after spacer installation?

Hi guys, would you think it's necessary to re-torque my wheel bolts after a certain number of miles, following the installation of spacers?

i did after a few hundred miles after my TMS spacer install.

You should retorque every time you change wheels. I usually retorque 2 -3 times after I change wheels every 50 miles or so. Just for piece of mind.

At the track, if there's a car that's had a wheel come off....its a BMW. I've seen 3 so far. So I would re-torque if you use the wheel bolts.

Went to class with a guy that lost a wheel on the Abahn after he had his Winters put on. He didn't retorque....just put stockers on yesterday for a dealer & body shop visit. I took it for a spin & a few of the nuts had 3/4ths to 1 turn when I retorqued.

I re-torqued using a hand wrench today and they seemed fine but is there any particular tool I need to be using and any particular pressure setting needed? Or is a hand tool fine?

Excuse my absolute ignorance with regards to appropriate tools. However I am learning

You need a torque wrench and set it to 88 lbft.

I'd tell you to run to Sears and pick up a torque wrench but not sure about in England. Re-torque especially after the first 50 miles and periodically there after. I'd invest in a torque wrench to be safe.
