Were you just dumping the clutch coming out of every turn?

You really should have two hands on the wheel through all of those turns..

x2 man, keep both hands on the wheel until you are ready to shift. Judging by your video you kept downshifting too much in some turns that you could have stayed in the same gear. It also seems like you are over correcting the car. Practice heel and toe since its crucial to be safe on the track while downshifting specially if its raining. Good video and hope you dont take my advice badly. Im glad you had fun out there, that track is a blast but always stay safe and take it slow.

There are a couple times when he's only holding the steering wheel with one thumb... and then there's the no hands at the end.

OP, no offense, but you should slow down and work on your technique more. That was some pretty reckless driving. You took it way too hard, especially when it was your first time out. It doesn't even look like you're focusing at all.

keep your hands at the 10,3 or 9,2 position of the steering wheel.. wrong to put your hand at the 12 o'clock position especially in a turn and just in general when you are racing or driving at all..

This is a question within a question.

OP - I'm with the others re: hand positions. Watch some track footage on youtube. The professional drivers brake, remove hand to shift, return hand to wheel, turn. This goes for street driving as well. That gearshift isn't going anywhere.

All the downshifts were a result of dumping the clutch. The reason he did it coming OUT of the turn was because he was indecisive about what gear to be in. All the same, I wish I was in the OP's shoes. Looks like a blast.

Looks like you had fun but totally reckless, you need to be careful and not put others at risk on the track.

Did you seriously just raise the roof motion at the end? LOL, I won't say what 10 others have said about yours hands. But by saying that, I kind did.
