I would highly suggest booking a plane ticket to NE to pick the car up and inspect it. You've come this far, don't let them screw you by damaging the car before it is shipped. I would also contact a local reporter and or consumer advocate. Ask them if they would accompany you to the dealership.

I would suggest obtaining a prepaid plane ticket from BMW of Lincoln and a thorough inspection from a dealer close to BMWOL before driving it home to CA (what an experience that would be) or having it shipped back to CA.
