Agreed, I have a AW 2010 E90 ZCP, I reckon when the lease is up I may pay it out and park it, will be something to hold on to and enjoy in the future, would only sell it for a very good number...

I'll be very interested to see what used E90/E92 prices do when the new LCI comes out at 139K new. Last v8 or not, the new car is faster, handles better and has more features than the old, old tech can only command a limited premium for being 'unique' in some way. An E90 ticks all the boxes for me as the next car, just depends what people expect to get for them!

Have you checked the price of "old tech" Porsches and Ferraris lately?

I bought a 964 Porsche in the desired rear drive manual layout 4 years ago for $60k. I had to sell it to buy property.

Now they want +$100k.

It's too early now to be thinking the E9X is your retirement nest egg but in 10 year's time, when everything is running on electricity and the engine note is determined by the App you downloaded from Apple, the V8's will be Old School Cool....
