New carbon fiber driveshafts

Not affiliated. Just posting because there has been a lot of interest in a carbon fiber driveshaft similar to the ones YCW/MFactory used to sell. Those shafts were made for them by J-Fiber. There is a group buy for E46 and E90 M3 shafts:

http://www.m3forum.net/m3forum/showthread.php?t=603791

These retain the guibo unlike DSS, so they don’t add NVH. I have the original version and like it.

NICE! I love my MFactory one. They appear to be identical to it as well with no changes to design.

Interesting. I want to take part, but haven’t been a member until now, and I literally can’t do anything until I’ve 150 posts, it seems.

Well I see some inconsistency with the J-Fiber story and the YCW story. J-Fiber says that all the work was done by them, YCW only re-labeled. YCW claims they did all the work on the flanges and sourced only the CF drive shaft tubes from a 3rd party (I assume J-Fiber). YCW also claims that the lack of NVH is due to their flanges which are made to OE-spec tolerances.

So which is the true story here? If the J-Fiber flanges are not as high quality as the YCW ones, will the DS vibrate?

The shaft VAC sells now is a DSS shaft. No guibo, more nvh.

WALKD_U added this note, in his last post:

"If I am missing anyone please email me at M3HNGRY @ gmail dot com."

Also, the GB has reached the top tier....Pretty decent deal, at this point.

I vaguely remember the YCY (or WCW?) one which indeed was supposed to be the cat's pajamas.

Advantages? We expect some more hp?

As it'll go on a E90 M3 DCT track car, does it survive max attack shifts? the inertial hammer is not the most friendly to mechanical bits
