Yes. It's why I can't do coilovers without going over into B2.

Picked up the car from the Crevier Bmw in Santa Ana after some warranty work. Pretty painless with the aftermarket warranty. $1,200 of work foe $116. It was a good choice. They replaced the temperature sensor and a hose of some sort.
Also, they had a lava green m4. Nice color in person.

So when I'm ridding my car of the cowbell noise, I'm pushing the heat shield away from the rotor, right? I pushed it about 1" away from the rotor all the way around and no rocks fell out.

unless it's shreaking loud like something is breaking or grinding really bad, it'll dislodge itself with some spirited driving. my car makes all sorts of shit noises at the track and a day or two afterwards but always goes back to normal.

Does it even matter if you haven't been running in the inner challenge all season?

On another note I need some of you socal guys' help. I'm deciding between Buttonwillow and Autoclub for this weekend to test out my new suspension . I haven't tried ACS yet and would like to but it looks like theres a chance of a bent up car (walls everywhere) so I would want to get track insurance and run 2 days but thats $$$. BW would be lower cost and i would feel comfortable without track insurance. What do you guys think, is ACS dangerous enough to warrant track insurance ($400!!!)? If so, is it even worth it when I can just do track insurance for a track like Laguna Seca? |

With that said, ACS is mostly long straight away, turn, long straight, turn. It's still really fun to me, but I would say if your main reason for going out is to test your suspension, your not gonna get much out of ACS. BW is a far better option for that exercise. |

Ali with silver E46.

I would only mess around turn 5/6 and turn 9 at ACS. At the end of it you should eventually try this track. But again I think BRP is better for suspension testing. So do BRP this weekend and ACS at the end of the month for Bimmerfest/Bimmer Challenge. |

Go to Buttonwillow. It has a little of everything, which is perfect when trying a new suspension. And if you've driven it before, you can [hopefully] feel the difference on track, which is what you REALLY want.

Do any of y'all flip NT-01s to extend tire wear? Any issues if I were to do that? Also, if anyone has one NT-01 in 275/35/18 that they don't need, I'd be interested in purchasing it. Currently have five..

At least it's two tires you need which is easy to source and not just a single tire lol. There's a pair for sale on M3forum. |
