Haven't gotten the dyno sheets or compliance forms done yet, that should be set on Tuesday after I take it to G Speed.

Can you explain your comment about running the highest class possible? I'm not exactly doing this to win tons of free tires (right now), but I don't want to be severely outclassed and be frustrated. TT2 has some scary-fast stuff in it...looking at the track records, they'll absolutely obliterate me.

I meant it opposite of how it came across. Higher # being slower class. If you can fit in TT3, then try to make it work.

Man - that must've been scary. Sub'd to hear what Andie says.

Love me some Cobalt Friction! He has always taken tons of time to explain his process and recommendations so I trust him more than most.

Cool, thanks. I'm looking at the schedule for the weekend and not sure I understand the TT run groups. Do all TTers go out at once? e.g. if I'm TT3, am I out on track with TT1, 2, 4, 5, and 6 at the same time?

Yes. We all go out in the same session at the same approximate time. This is why grid position is so important. If you grid at the back and are having to pass a bunch of miatas, you're going to ruin your time and theirs as well. Again, it's usually all sorted out in the first couple of sessions. You'll usually get 2 clean laps at a short track like MSRC. Make them count!!!

3470 without me in the car, and about 1/4 tank of fuel. I get a modifier for my 200TW tires which is what will keep me in TT3 for now.

What's long term plan? Detune to run A7's?

Possibly. If I want to run a Hoosier, the detune would be very minor. I could also do a small ballast box.

Other alternative is to take the BTM aero mod factor but that would be a hassle to remove some of that stuff -- and might impact lap times at a higher speed track like COTA where I need the downforce.

How are your corner weights? Ballast path if you have issues getting a good balance and ballast helps. Otherwise, detune, maximizing what’s allowed (not sure if it’s peak or area under curve that they look at).
