Went to the shop today and the owner said he wont release the car unless I pay the totall they want, even though I have proof and picture that the car was only worked on for 7 days totall.. and my fabricator did all the fab work...
I went together with an ex insurance specialist and he said there is a detective for insurance/stollen cars who recover cars being held be auto shops or stollen cars that are found. We let them know that detective has been notified and that it is illegal to hold someones property to require payment. I also had a body camera on me to catch the owner saying he was holding my car. I really didn't need this drama..

Ended up settling with him.
Seems like Mob Customs (1st shop was the one causing all the confusion+some misscomunications between me/1st shop owner and 2nd shop owner) +nothing in writing, Ends up 2nd shop owner is getting screwed out of $3700 bucks so is in worse shape then me, so I settled for $1000 out of the $2200 he was demanding for the release of the car. I am supposed to pick it up today. I will tow it home and when the new wheels arrive will take them to Rainier's house to finish the body work. Just glad this dramma is near over, and I can continue the build.

coming from purist's I take things super lightly, it's like my grandfather telling me my hair style is gay or that the music nowadays isn't as good as in the "good old days". As long as it get's done the way I plan it to, I will be happy! edit: just randomly saw a thread regarding a "totalled m3" which happens to be a liberty walk M3, other then yellow paint job it looks amazing. So that says alot.... I'll leave it at that. I am part of the Purist group on FB, and there are always some purists talking smack about others rides that look different then the cars they were led to believe are the only correct styles. Then again , I can totally understand someone thinking it's nuts to hack up a beautifull expensive car
