Style 359 wheels NLA?

Looks like E92 ZCP wheels are NLA? Searched a couple other websites and the part number wasn't even listed in their system. Is this permanent or COVID related supply issue? Any insiders have more info on this?

I know. I gambled and got a new MPE exhaust a few months ago thinking that would be NLA before the wheels. Turned out to be the opposite.

Part number has been pulled from almost every online vendor. Pretty much only ECS has them in stock and their prices are high as usual.

Tischer still shows on their website? Maybe it will be updated too when you try to buy it.

I would find it VERY unusual for BMW to stop making these. They still make some E36 wheels. BMW generally makes parts for decades. This is likely a supply chain issue and not a permanent thing. These are likely some of the most popular wheels for this chassis.

Agree with above.

Last year the front e46 BBS CSL wheels went NLA. Dealers could not provide any info re stock becoming available again. I was able to run the rears square and ordered a set. I was shocked to see 11/2010 part dates on all 4 rear wheels.

Recently the front CSL became available again. I don't know if stock was relocated or if BBS did a production run on the fronts.

My guess is that m359 nla is a temporary hiccup.

Some dealers have apparently stopped selling wheels online (like bmwpartsworldwide). In the past this was due to shipping damage claims (i.e. Sun Motor Cars BMW which used to due good volume in 763Ms through eBay), so it wouldn't surprise me that is the case with others. BMW packs wheels in flimsy and thin boxes (are at least they used to) that need an additional box to protect them.

Hell, I just ordered a set of E30 brand new basketweaves brand new a month ago. They were built in 2019.

Yeah, every so often new stock gets made. I have seen parts of all types for all the BMW's I have owned being available well into the 3rd decade. BMW is great about that. When I was redoing some of the interior on may last E36 M3 nearly all of the fasteners on the dash and elsewhere were still available from the dealer. They were not cheap, but when you need just the right part...

I do think there are certain parts they will NLA but wheels usually isnt one of them. Some weird interior pieces could go NLA, E36/E46 guys know this lol.

That said, M359 is made by a company called KAG so who knows. The E30 wheels I had were made by BBS so they tend to make things longer.

Sure, lots of parts do go NLA. Seat leather is one of the first things to go, found that out over the years. It shows that the red interior panels for our seats are still available (I asked my dealer, said he could get them but would have to try to see if you really could) but at nearly $3k a seat I am not going there! I know E46 skins have been NLA for at least 8 years. Many on the old M3Forum.com tried to get the Laguna Seca and Imola interior bits with no luck. Lots of other bits also, trim and such, but the fasteners, body panels, engine parts and such remain available for a very long time.

TMS still has them on their site

https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-2...59-19x10-rear/

I've been thinking about getting a front one. I scraped it on a curb awhile ago. Was waiting to replace it when I get new tires. But, I'm not driving it much these days.

Yea, add tax? and shipping probably is a wash. I didn't really do my homework cause I don't want to buy them right now. Description in Turner doesn't mention center caps but its in the pictures. does it include center caps?

Both sites are ridiculously overpriced. I rather refinish mine or wait for the next production batch.

I remember looking a couple years ago, seems around ~$600 per wheel was the norm across most sites. For a 19" quality wheel not too bad really.

Obviously a refinish would be WAY cheaper and since these are a single color with nothing fancy going on would be an easy job too.

in black it would be easy enough. in the oem silver, it is a 3 stage process that many powder coat/paint places would either not do or charge a premium.

Yes exactly. It’s a multistep process. You can’t replicate the finish with a single stage powdercoat or spray paint. Most shops don’t even want to be bothered doing it. From what I remember it is a darker almost black base coat topped off with a silver finish and then clear. Even some shops that agree to do it end up sending them elsewhere to be done.

With Shipping and tax it was $2,676. No Center caps included. I was going to reuse the ones from my set of 18's anyway
