Put some black wheels on it. Need to get my front 359s fixed as I have a bit of a wobble.

Usually I do not like black wheels but I am smitten with they way these look in my car...

Then I was reminded that all season radials are NOT as grippy as PS4S tires! Wholly shite, sideways like right now!

Cheers,

Always see the F14s, post some pics when theses are mounted up. I am thinking these too as they are less commonly used. I’m thinking these in gloss black.

Will do, had the F14s a few years ago. But yeah lots out there.

Need to pick up some new rotors and pads since mine are shot. Any difference between these two kits?
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...e9xm3brakekit2
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...4112283801ktfr

From what I understand, Zimmermann is the direct supplier for the rotors regardless. So they should be direct replacements. No point in shelling out an extra $300 if the 1st kit will provide same results. Appreciate any recommendations.

Zimmerman rotors are OE for BMW.👍🏿

I would personally buy the Zimmerman rotors but get Hawk HPS 5.0 pads. Less dust and great performance.

Remember to not spill brake fluid on the sensor below the reservoir when you compress your calipers.

Cheers,

Thanks man, and noted regarding the brake fluid. Might pop my rotors off this weekend and measure thickness. If they're not too bad I'll skim cut the faces to give them a little extra life. Pretty sure minimum thickness on these is 28.4mm, with that said can you go beyond that without many issues? Doubt many will know haha.

My exact combo. I have used Zimmerman's on several cars, and the Hawk 5.0 pads are great, very low dust.

I would not turn these rotors as it removes material and can just lead to them warping again, especially if you drive with any amount of aplomb...

Made a small addition to the garage. Bought a 52" tool chest combo and an industrial shelves, and organized the garage a bit. Thank god brother in law has a trailer hitch crane to help with store pick up and unloading. Tool chest alone was almost 400lbs.

Then took the car out for an afternoon drive. Good day.

Went for a drive yesterday.

And then 1 horsepower came over to check out 420 horsepower.

(Fun fact, a healthy horse can put out an average of 14.8HP for extended amounts of time)

14.8 HP at the rear hips, I'm not sure how much drivetrain loss horses have though.

Got my car back from doing maintenance/repairs/'mods':

1) BE/ARP rod bearings
2) Motor mounts
3) Spark plugs
4) Brake fluid change
5) Clutch pedal bushings & spring
6) Cabin filters
7) Autosolutions SSK (15%, +6mm height, 50A carrier bushings, OE shifter arm bushing)
8) M Performance Exhaust
9) Thorough inspection

It's like i got a new car. Car feels and sounds amazing, idle is smooth. Should've gotten the MPE and Autosolution SSK a long time ago.

Next up, full detail.

traded it in for an Atlantis blue (?) F32 4 series
(correction on color - Snapper Rocks Blue)

just kidding
got a loaner while getting my battery cable recall done
i miss having some color to my car
had a F30 estoril blue II prior to getting the AW e90 M3

it was a great daily + occasional fun car

almost a stripper
2016 328i
estoril blue/black sensatec
6-speed manual
m-sport package
adaptive m suspension
track handling package
black grilles

no premium package to avoid moonroof (but this also meant no xenon headlights so i had to retrofit aftermarket)

That's interesting to think about. HP is a function of TQ x RPM, so I wonder how that 14.8 figure is derived.
