08 air filter replacement
I just picked up a 2008 and wanted to change the air filter. I was on FCP and read that it wont fit without an updated airbox or airbag cover from 2010 and on.
Does anyone know where to get a regular filter for the airbag I have? I do not want to spend $600+ on an updated airbox Any other way around this? |

Helmsman
From FCP "Mahle and BMW discontinued early production air filters, p/n 13727838805" And when I search BMW USA for 13727838805 it only gives me 13727838804 which is only for post 9/2009 cars |

Check on autozone or advanced auto for the parts number and take the ome part number and slap it in too Google and it should show you the cheapest options, I used this tactic to get 2 vanos solenoids for only $67. This tactic applies across the board for pretty much any car but it works best with car with larger aftermarket support
