The front is going to rub 95% guarantee it. It's just too tall of a tire up front

Just put 255/35R/19 MPS AS3+'s on Vorsteiner vf 101's (19x9.5 offset 22) in the front and sure enough I have rub at full lock during turning. Car is 2012 e92 ZCP with stock suspension. Researched and listened to a ton of feedback but apparently still made a mistake - Vorsteiner recommended 275/30/19's for the front but tire rack recommended 255/35/19's

This is all on H&R springs.
Tech,
In your opinion, if staying with the stock Competition EDC suspension, is there a chance to get by with your setup and no spacers?
I am interested in the 275/30/19 front and 305/30/19 rear.
Wheels are 19" and ET22 9.5" front and 10.5" ET35 rear

thanks, I read in here that 255/35 and 285/35 rub? I've seen some 30 profile on 19s and it just looks small profile and not right. other option was maybe 255/35 and 290/30. Then have tire rack recommend 255/35 and 275/35.

I would not run the 255/35 up front. The 30 profile looks fine when using a 265/275 up front and 285/295 rear.

Thanks for the help, 1 last question haha, what about running 255/35 on a 19x9 front and 275/30 on a 19x10. May go a different route and the other rout the wheels are about a half inch narrower and et30 . I saw the 255/35 and 275/30 mounted on the wheels and they looked good

I wouldn't run the 255/35-19 on any width. It's too tall and will rub.

Hey guys,

Going to be running an HRE P40SC 19x9.5/19 X11 both et 25.

-Ohlin Road and Tracks

Im looking at the new Michelin pilot sport 4S

I know for the front 265 30 19s would fit with no rub on the PSS

PS4S-(25.3") overall diameter
PSS-(25.3") overall diameter

But for the rears I was wanting to run a 305 30 19
But can't seem to find if anyone is running the setup with success. I see many 295 30 19s

PSS 295- 26" diameter.
PS4S 295-26" diameter.

But 305s would add about .3" in diameter.

PSS 305-26.3" Diameter
PS4S 305- 26.3"

I'm not sure if it's the height of the tires or the actual width. If anyone can give me input on this before I pull the trigger, that would be awesome!!

Thanks

Work Meister S1 3 pc.

FRONT: 19x9.5 +23 O Disc with a 15 mm spacer with 245/35/19 tires. Gotta check on the tire brand lowered on KW HAS Sleevek kit on lowest setting = No rub (freeway bumps, speed bumps, full lock turns). So far no rubs at all.
Fender gap: 7 mm

REAR: 19x11 +17 O Disc with 275/35/19, tires are Federal RS-RR lowered on KW HAS Sleevek kit with about 3 turns to the lowest.= No rub (freeway bumps, speed bumps, Etc. ). So far no rubs at all.
Fender gap: 10 mm

I've been running 255/35/19 PSS on 19x9 ET25 HRE FF01s with KW V3 dialed down to "zero finger" gap for over 16k miles with ZERO rubbing. Not once.

I ran 295/30/19 on 19x10.5 ET26 in the back for around 15k miles. Those rubbed the plastic fender liner at the top (inside) of the wheel arch, and the infamous "nub" where the fender liner meets the rear bumper. No damage to tire or car, and only happened with loaded down or severe bumps. The last 1k miles or so have been on 285/35/19 and rubbing is gone.

Purchasing this set of wheels/tires, wondering if it will rub on the ohlins (specifically on the spring) as I heard the OE style springs have rubbing issues (in the front) and a 5mm spacer is usually needed with an et25 on 275, so I would have to assume with an et20 with a 285 i would need a 10mm spacer (plus the extra width of the tire) so maybe 15mm spacer to be safe? Anyone have experience or insight?

18x9.5 +22/ 18x10.5 +20

Hankook Ventus RS-3
285/35/18 275/35/18

Ohlins R/T

Previous owner of the wheels was on different suspension but had no rubbing issues.

You're misunderstanding ET as it relates to spacing. If a ET25 fits with a 5mm spacer then an ET20 will fit without a spacer. Think of ET as an aspect of distance toward the hub. The lower you go, the further away. Then when you consider wheel widths, take have the additional width toward the inner/outer wheel half. I would not be surprised if the wheel fit but tire may be a bit snug to the outside well up front.

For anyone interested, I know you can fit 285/30-18's up front on 9" and likely 9.5" wheels with proper spacing.
