Do you hear the mechanism (convertible motor) trying to operate? If yes, it might not be the fuse issue. I had a golf towel stuck between the mechanism arm in the trunk (where you are not supposed to place anything) where the wind flew it while the top was down and got stuck between the metal arms on passenger side. This caused my top to stop in the middle of closing process. Luckily, I was able to go through top down process, open the trunk and pull the stuck towel out. Then, no more issue. If you don't hear anything trying to work, it maybe the fuse. You can search for "salmon fuse" which were not that expensive from one of the online parts stores. I actually think I bought my spare one from Amazon several months ago as a back up.

It's either the salmon colored fuse (under the rear tray, or it's a hall sensor. Try the salmon sensor first, it's cheap and easy to replace.

I believe their are 9 hall sensors in various spots throughout the operation of the rear lid and top. You'll need to figure out which one is broke and replace if. If you have ISTA you can read which one, if you don't you'll need to go to a stealership and ask to diagnose which hall sensor is blown. You can also have them do it for you, but will run about 500-700$ give or take.

I've done both fixes before and salmon fuse is easy, hall sensors are a pain in the dick, good luck!

It was a micro-switch behind the right rear tail light. So even if I could open the trunk, was nothing I could've done about it at work

I put up the rear windows which helped secure that section and drove gently to my local dealership right before closing.

Yup, that's one of the 9, and I believe you have two; one on each side behind the tail light….it's a mess back there with how many sensors their are.

Glad you got it fixed, good stuff!

So theres a way to manually close the roof. If you have access to the trunk you can manually release hydraulic pressure from the system which allows to lower the two pieces into their positions. Heres a video for help:
