Pads are more important to upgrade than the rotors.
The stock rotors are a two piece design that dissipate heat well (and are cast rather than drilled...an important distinction) and you can get them through FCP (lifetime warranty). I started out using Ferodo DS2500 pads for hybrid daily/track use by upgraded to the DS 1.11s when they started to wear out too quickly. The 1.11s are not remotely appropriate for daily use so I swap when I get home from the track.

+1 for pads over rotors. OEM rotors are good enough if your at stock power and street tires.
Track pads and high temp fluid are where I start, and then rotors if needed. And then BBK. And then no more money...

All you need is performance brake fluid and track pads if you want to track.
The pads I use and recommend to run track days and still have quiet pads on the street is the Project Mu HC-CS. Definitely my favorite track day pad that I can still daily drive if I want. It's more track oriented so will require some heat to work well. At street temps, it will not have high torque but still has good braking power. No squeal with stock calipers and rotors. I get them grey market from Japan. Ordering through a US distributor takes too much time.
