Timing chain tensioner DIY question.
I plan to replace both timing chain tensioners on my e90 as preventative measure. Now. I understand the difficult of removing bank 1. But my question is. If I replace 1 tensioner at a time, can I complete the service without timing tools?
ISTA obviously is telling me to take the valve covers off, lock the cams, and install crank pin. Is all of that necessary? Has anyone done this job? Thank you. |
