CHP cleared my fix-it

Ok, this morning I went to get my front license place fix-it ticket signed-off by CHP. The officer walks out to my car.

Takes a good luck at the car...touches the front plate to make sure that it is on!!

MAN...good thing I did not do the double sided tape thing.

Then...says...the windows are tinted...

says...you are not supposed to have any tint. But...he then tells me he would not cite me....especially since I did not try to hide them by rolling down the windows like many people that come by do. (he always checks windows rolled down...dead give-away!)

Anyways...1 ticket down....2 to go.

nah....no fine at the CHP.

But I do have to send in the paperwork with $10 processing fee.

You know, Mag, I thought about you this morning. One of my patients has had a 7-series since 2001 and has never ever had a front CA plate. She bought one of those chromed ones with the BMW Roundel on it, that's it. She's never been cited. How did you get so lucky?

Well..I had nothing on the front. No plate...no holder...just plain beauty.

Ahhhhh...those were the days.

who gives if the windows are tinted. as long as they are legal the they cant say sh$t.. wtf.

In CA you can't have any film on your front windows. all tint is illegal.

You're not allowed to have tint on your front windows or windshield. You can have it on any other window.

One is a metermaid ticket...no front plate....that is just paying a fine and mailing it in.

The other was for "failing to yield to a pedestrian"..total BS if you ask me. but whatever.

Ok...here is the scenario once again....(by popular demand, although I know that many have already heard my rantings when it happened several weeks ago)

I was at a intersection red light...waiting to make a left turn. Light turns green...I enter the intersection. Pedestrians are crossing the street/crosswalk...as they do when the light turns green in the same direction of travel as me.

So...I can't go until they have cleared the lanes that I was intending on going into. Well....some pedestrians had already reached the curb. Some were still in the lane closest to the sidewalk (right lane) . I turn into the left hand lane......BEHIND the pedestrians as they walk away from my intended path.

Then....5-0 decided to pull me over. Says I cannot enter that crosswalk until the pedestrians are SAFELY ALL ON THE CURB. "failing to yield to pedestrians". :finger:

So...off to traffic school I go...well, going to do the online program to keep this "offense" off my record.

to that cop!!
