Toyo r888 rear fitment question

Hello all,

I'm currently running a Hankook 285/30/19 on my rear wheel.

Attached wheel and offsets specs below.

Currently lowered on BC coil overs.

Can I fit a 285/35/19 on the rear if I raise up the back of my car?

These tires already came in and I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning them. Would also like a meatier look in the back.

Would appreciate some feedback. Thank you.

is this for your M4? Or for e9x?

Very easy fit on M4.
On e9x its about 8mm too tall for the rear from the math in my head. So it will work but you might rub on big dips. You should be fine.

285/35/19 is too tall for E9x
The 275/35/19 fits if the car is not lowered too much

Yes they are all within mm of OEM sizing so it all comes down to setting up the suspension to allow it. Good point though, 275/35 is the "correct" size here for sure. I ran that and had no problems with full compression (r888r) and the 285 is 1% difference.
I know you have probably run more set ups than anyone on here just saying it for OP just since he's stuck with the tires and might not care too much about rubbing.

OP, 285/35/19 will work fine in your scenario. You might have to raise your suspension a couple mm. If anything it rubs on upper fenders but its not too bad. The tire size you want to run is 2.3% larger diameter than stock (nothing crazy). Don't worry about returning the tires just put them on and enjoy

Hey everyone. Appreciate the feedback.

I actually was able to return them.

I ended up getting the Toyo r888r in 265/35/19

I believe because these are a R Comp tire they run big and are cut square.

Here's a picture of the 285/35 and they were massive. My car is significantly lower than stock on coilovers and I didn't want to raise it too much. 265/35 will be mounted tomorrow and I think they will look perfect!
