There is risk, but that doesn't mean we sign(ed) up to readily accept getting assaulted. Applying pressure was merely an option, but not being in that officer's shoes, I have no idea if that was truly an option for him.

No! We don't enforce traffic law(s) on private property unless the private property explicitly states the vehicle code is enforced. In the case of acting crazy on your own land......have at it.

Maybe the cop had verbally warned her to stop fighting.
Maybe the cop just likes to punch people.

How can any of us sit here and make the assertion that the cop is right or wrong based on this short video?

As I wrote earlier, sometimes people need to be punched. And that idea can be extrapolated to "sometimes people need to be shot."

....and therein lies the issue with body worn camera footage (...or third party cellular phone recordings). We get a 2D glimpse of a 3D situation. It doesn't tell the entire story.

The other cops stepped in to prevent their partner from going too far. One or two punches?!? Sure. A third punch might've been ruled excessive. In my opinion they were looking out for their partner. It's easy to get tunnel vision when you're feeling threatened.

OK, the discussion of driving drunk on your own property. BTW I am drunk NOW. LOL

I live in a private community on a golf course. I regularly drive from the club house to my home in my golf cart drunk as hell. I believe it is private property and I can not be arrested for it. Don't care. Gonna do it either way. Hic.

It's why I moved here.

Eventually your HOA will pass a rule regarding this. Personally, I'd rather deal with Sedan, than any HOA.

We have double the amount of retirements scheduled for this year. We were originally expected to have just slightly over 300, but we have 704.

In fairness, even if there were 100% of the video, it still would not tell the whole story, simply because a video cannot tell what anyone is thinking. As I have stated before, he will have to answer for his actions. And I agree with Sedan, that his buddies, in essence, helped him by stopping him.
