I have 37k miles. I know it's not the 50-100k you are asking about, but it's running strong. I know there are some members on here that have 50k + with no issues.

I have CPO 6y 100k. Probably wouldn't have bought it without it.

54k now, no issues apart from a mysterious nail that has stuck itself in all four tires over the past few months. I mean WTF?? Luckily I signed up for the wheel/tire protection when I bought the car so new tires were fitted free, no hassle also... ;-)

I had a nail the other day too, also have insurance, so far I got both rear tires replaced, one last year and one this year. Wheel and tire insurance def. paid off.

GOod to hear 50k+ and even few 100K M3 owner's Ms are doing great!

Nice one! That V8 is not going to break easy, unless severely abused. Manual transmission is bullet proof also if you know how to drive with a real gear stick. But I'm thinking the M guys considered the 'learners' also during the design phase... I am not worrying. :-)

Traded in my E90 '08 6MT last fall for an E90 '11 DCT. It was a March 08 build with 38400 miles when I traded it. I was the only owner. Transmission was replaced at ~15K miles due to excessive grinding in the 1-2 shift. Tracked once. The new one will definitely see more track time. Oil was changed every 7K miles.

I'd probably still have the '08 except for a worrying amount of bearing material that showed up in the last few oil reports. When the last report said "keep an eye on your oil pressure" I decided it was time to move on to a newer vehicle. It was still running strong and not making any noises but since I was planning to throw a few bolt-ons at it I didn't want to run into any warranty problems if it decided to grenade on me.

update-have an april 08 build, 36k,not that high mileage.took it in for general work, mentioned a rough 1-2 shift, the dealer quickly said i needed a new 6mt transmission bc of a failed 2nd gear syncro.it was replaced under warranty, which expires in october,so whew.i was impressed by how they stepped up to the plate.

for those with a notchy shifter, don't assume it's the "normal" thing.just got it back today, but it feels much better.

i think this could happen to any year, but that it is very rare.the mechanic, whom i have gotten to know and trust, said the trans is basicially bulletproof, but that he thinks someone tried to slam a shift and missed real bad.he said he's only seen 1 other bad trans at this big dealer, and that guy had no idea how to drive a manual.
i believe both previous owners took good care of my car.my guess is maybe this happened by a transporter from the first owner to a maserati dealer here where the second owner got it.i'm the third.

i don't think there's a specific problem w/certain build dates,or cause for worry in general, but did want to pass it on bc it happened.these are great and tough cars, but i guess anything mechanical can fail.

Lead. It jumped from 10 ppm to 17 and then to 18. The last test had 5800 miles on the oil. Here is what the Blackstone folks had to say:

Quote:
JAMES: We were looking for an improvement in lead, but alas that did not happen this time. In fact it increased a bit. All other wear metals read about the same, so no other issues are developing. This reading of 18 ppm is higher than we'd like to see, and something we'll watch closely next time. We suggest monitoring your oil pressure to make sure there is no drop. We also recommend resampling in just 4,000 miles next time. Hopefully lead will settle back down. The oil was again in good physical shape. Check back to watch lead wear.

I'm at 48K miles on my 08. Have to buy the maintenance warranty this month for $3.3k. Screw the actual warranties for engine and transmission that's an additional $4.2K.

First DCT in Dallas. Daily driver both on Texas roads and now Colorado. Driving 100miles round trip each day for work now as well.
Done about 4 track days and 5 autoxs since purchased.

I've had no problems at all. The worst thing I have is tons of rock chips on the front bumper . And buying my 3rd set of tires this month.

About to roll 60k. Rear diff grind taken care of under warranty early on ~10k miles. So far, so good. Extended powertrain plus for 6 years/100k miles. Probably going to trade up for a 2014 F80 M3, euro delivery.

08 march build E90. Just got it back from dealer for service. Car has ~58k, bought it CPO with 52k. Just did oil, transmission fluid and updated software to latest. Other than the clicking differential problem, which was solved by the replacement and addition of the diff oil and friction modifier, the car experienced an increased emissions check engine light at 54k. Dealer diagnosed a broken valve spring and replaced under warranty. Compressions is still at 178psi across cylinders. Not sure what spec is though.
Other than that, runs with no issues. Plugs were changed at 54k as well. Going to follow the old school maintenance guide from now on. 15k oil changes scare me like the boogie man!
No track, just DD...for now

I have extended warranty and maintenance plan up to 100k or for the next two years.
