If you cleared your CEL then you also reset all your monitors.

Now you have to drive around and go through the cycle all over again. A scan tool can check for your readiness monitors.

I believe it is based on a number of criteria being met not just miles, so no, not necessarily. You can search on readiness and BMW and get some info on it.

Mileage is not what affects the monitors to complete and be ready. The car has to meet specific targets, until then, the monitors will say incomplete.

The o2/catalyst monitors must be completed.

I see you guys discovered BMS has expanded their DPFIX to include M3 models. It's a different product than the N54 DPFIX but has been tested in a few cars and is working very well so far. You also get full readiness! Install looks more complicated than it really is. I can install one in around 10 minutes on the M3 as the DME is a little easier to access than 335 models. It's not for use on pollution controlled vehicles of course but for race cars and those out of country this is a great way to go if you don't want or are not allowed to use a tune but need to get rid of that annoying dash warning system.

what doesn't make sense is that MRF states that the rear 02s are acutally helping apply minor changes to fuel trims. Hows' that? If it's reading post cat, everyone who has either no cats is screwing up the fuel trims. I would love to see a log posted of a catted car vs no cats. I can't imagine the input from the post cat is that much to really alter the trim tables. It must be ver minor no? And it's really kind of manipualted via the cat in place. As a secondary method of montioring it kind of makes sense. But from your post, these 2nd 02s play more of a role than people think?

Depends on the driving. I have seen 500+ miles to complete all Readiness tests. Have you been on the highway for any extended periods?

Yes, mostly highway, about 30 miles highway, then 10 miles city to and from work, and trying for about 20 city during lunch the past few days to see if the cel pops up.

That is close to being on the verge. It will be interesting to see if Readiness has passed. Looking forward to the results. Thanks.

No chance to confirm readiness yet, but just about 220 miles with no cel.

I would import that photo, but I guess I have to register there to see it now. I'll see if bms can just email it to me, or even better get a camera pic of my own when I get a chance

Did you set the adjustable setting on the DP fix at 5 o'clock?

I will make a full thread on readiness in the next couple days which I think will really clear up misconceptions on readiness functions.
