Hear ye hear ye! My triumphant long overdue return to the E9x M3 is nigh! lol dramatic enough?

Interested in selling your M3? Here's what I want. Will pay fair price for the right car. I don't lowball.

-Prefer LCI with streaming Bluetooth but not a deal breaker.
-Less than 60k miles
-Silverstone, Space Gray, Interlagos, or Jerez in that order.
-Fox red high priority. Black, beige ok. Mixed black/red or black/silver are fine but NO straight silver interior. barf
-E92 or E90 but no sunroof on E92
-DCT
-Aluminum trim preferred but carbon leather is fine.
-Comp pack desired but not required.
-EDC if no ZCP
-Premium sound highly preferred
-Heated seats probably required. Cold weather pack whatever.
-Premium, Nav required.
-OEM+ type mods ok. Tune, exhaust ok. No superchargers or history of one.

That's it! Easy, right?

This car represents a "perfect car" that I would buy if local.

You just missed one. Someone at work was selling his Silverstone E90 slicktop w/ fox red interior. It was 6MT though.

I guess...but thought maybe the Silverstone + red interior, which was marked as high priority, might've helped overlook the 6MT.

Either way, its gone. Just making conversation. Slow news day I guess.

I wouldn't say so, that's an awful lot of "wants" and specifications to meet.
Certainly not a unicorn, but tough to find EXACT specs that match all of that.

Yeah I'm gonna be stickler for the DCT for a number of reasons but mostly I just prefer it especially compared to the 6MT that this gen has.

Agreed, especially if just searching local. I had a long list of requirements too for both my BMWs, had to ship both from out of state.

Judd, don't want to ship? I guess since you've included E92's it shouldn't be as hard. Many low mileage/late model ones, and most seem to be ZCP too.

Good luck.

No doubt I'll probably be making some concessions somewhere if I want to keep it local. I might end up shipping but will give it a few months of 500 mile range searching first.

Another option too, (just brainstorming here) If you can work out all finances via phone and e-mail with your lender, or your wallet... You could fly out, and drive the car home! Road trip/new car all in one go!

Yeah I would do a 1200 mile road trip for the right car.

I see some real nice SSII E90's on Autotrader that check nearly all your boxes, but they're on the east coast.

Found my car but not local. Carmax in Philly has it and I'm having Carmax ship to their Lynnwood lot for $1k.

https://www.carmax.com/car/15250489#&gid=1&pid=2

2012 E92 M3, 36k miles
Silverstone on Black, carbon trim
DCT
ZCP
Premium pack
Heated seats
Premium sound

All OEM and looks to be pristine inside and out. Probably will take 3-4 weeks to get here but I'm super excited! I've been looking at M3s for over a year and been dreaming about getting back into one since 2015.

Wow that was fast. Pays to stretch that search out to cover the country, slim pickings around Seattle.

Car looks super clean, congrats!

Sweet ride! Nice find...low miles, pristine shape and a bargain in the shipping too...just hope it's closed container to avoid rock chips etc.
Post pics after you get it!

Thanks! I've been looking at M3s for sale for over a year so I know what's tough to find and what I was willing to spend. I posted this thread when I made my entry into the market official and was pleasantly surprised to see this car pop up in my searches.

I visited Carmax here to test drive a black E92 and had quite a positive experience. Unfortunately that car was jet black and interior cosmetics were not good, but the sales experience opened me up to the ease of shipping with them. A few days later bam this car is newly listed. I snatched it up in 24 hrs.

To see this car for sale with fox red or in 2011 sedan guise would be incredibly rare but I'm not gonna sit on my hands fooling myself that I could ever find one and get it here. I'm very happy to have this car on its way here!

FWIW I've been shopping around prices for some maintenance items and yikes there is a lot of variability out there.

For oil/filter, spark plug change, and diff fluid flush out of 4 quotes prices ranged from $1500 (dealer) to $850. Interestingly the dealership has the best oil service price at $230.

Which dealer is asking $230 for an oil change?
