Well, its, uhh, interesting. Looks good in strong sunlight, but in other light it might be called Baby Poo Yellow.

I think esquire was trying to make the point that the truly "Individual" colors are not standard on any model. The others are "Special Order" colors that are or have been available on other models.

Thats the diorrhea yellow? Looks like excrement after a good night out and a really, really bad triple egg curry? Hmm tempting but Ill give it a miss.

No word on Individual interior colours but Richard Clarke at Scothall Leeds BMW reckons I can choose from any of these.

Yes, exactly! BMW has captured the essence of things with this color. I make it a point to look away when I see a M3 in PY not to disturb my mental image of a great car.

I think so, though in some ways that is splitting hairs since, as far as I know:

- The ablitiy to order an exterior/interior color that is not standard for a particular model - whatever color that might happen to be - is still a service provided by BMW Individual.

- Many of the colors people want to use the most are indeed those made famous from their appearance on past (or, simply, other current) BMWs.

I think I'm correct with the following

Monaco Blue - E90 standard colour
Silver Grey - E60 5 series colour
Titanium Grey 2 - E60 colour
Atlantis - E63 6 series colour?
Blue Water - X3 colour
Steel Blue - E46 colour
Sterling Grey - Z4 colour (launch cars all featured this colour)

This colour is popular in some places - I was in Durban the other week and I saw two E46 M3's in this colour within ten minutes of each other... (a good town for a curry too, by the way)

I still remember seeing my first E46 M3 in LSB.
I was leaving the mall and it was kind of dark, but the color was amazing.

This is no different than the E46 M3. The brochure listed only a small amount of what was truly available. There were at nearly 20 colors available for the E46 ///M3, and the only way that some people knew about them was because they were members of forums.

there's a vast difference between "individual colors" and non-standard colors made available through the individual program. this topic has been beaten to death in dozens of other threads, many of which i've posted in.

if you've ordered ruby black on your individualized M3, your car is painted in an individual color. if on the other hand you've ordered carbon black on your individualized M3, a color previously available on normal line bmw's but not available as standard on the new M3, your car is painted in a normal color, but made available to you via the individual program.

in other words, just because your car went through the individual program, doesn't mean that you your car is painted in an individual color.

I know this thread is old, but does anyone have a list for interior colors and trims? Are there more than the Individual Colors listed on the UK site?
