Beautiful! I can't wait until I'm about to afford to put an E39 M5 next to my E90 M3. The two best V8s BMW have ever made... That is, until we see what the F10 M5 is like, haha.

Thanks!!! You are completely right about the two best V8s! The GTR got on my head and you know how we "motorheads" are...gotta have it! but not in a hurry plenty of toys to enjoy...and not in a hurry at all to depart from the e39 M5 "probably best sedan ever made"...


If you like torque, the "Beast" e39 M5 is a blast, a few upgrades and you get 400hp and 400lbs/ft torque, and the car is superb, wonderful balance…

If you like the overall driving experience e92 M3, the car feels tight and precise, and the brakes are excellent, plus nimbleness, the car does everything I want a car to do…and you will always find a reason to drive it!

I'd agree that it's the best BMW sedan ever built. But I'd go a bit further in saying that it's the best sedan ever, period. It has the most usability per horsepower/driving excitement.

Good luck with the GT-R. It's an amazing car, however I just can't get behind having something that much fun without a manual.

actually i just sold my e92, but theres a meet at the daily bread this month posted on southeast section. i should be there, hopefully u can make it.
