2011 m3 with VT2-600 1 year/10k miles later

I got the vt2600 kit last may at 15,000 miles and I was having some power/rpm issues at high speeds of 130+

Roman told me the issue are due to an old software tune. He sent over an updated tune and I installed it.

Yesterday was my first day of driving on the highway with the updated ecu. Not sure what happen but my clutch is slipping like crazy now. I cannot even hold second gear.

Do you think its possible the clutch just gave out over night? ( I never do burn outs and know how to drive stick properly)

If you are getting a code for "Clutch Slip" on a manual transmission you will want to confirm with your local dealer but you most likely have a bad clutch. Your updated software is makin more power than before so if your clutch was on the boarder before of slipping before the update it could have been enough to push it over its limits after.

Whats the best aftermarket clutch to pair with this kit? I don't think I want to get another stock one if they only last 10K+ miles...

Do you think the BMW maintenance would service it because of the mod?

Very interesting point here:
Instead of swapping a new stock clutch into your ride again I'd definitely try to get something more beefy.
No - not a 100% race clutch which is no daily-driveable anymore but something stronger than stock.

Have been looking into the clutch toppic for over one year. But couldn't really find anything "good". SPEC and all other big aftermarket clutch companies just don't offer nothing for the e92 M3.

So if you do find anything beefier and lighter! then let us know.
I'm sure there are many 6speed drivers out there who don't like the stock clutch (like me and no ... got no blower).

My stock clutch lasted 50000 miles. BMW diagnostic computer showed that it slipped at 30000 miles, fault was cleared and never happened again.Get another stock clutch !

I wonder how "street able" this is despite Turner Motorsports description.

I looked into the OS Giken before i ordered a new stock clutch but i couldn't get over the fact of how great the stock pedal feels,so i went with the stock.
OS Giken looks great and Turner talks highly of it but again, the stock is fine and it's only a matter of time till i confirm my statement

I can't wait to see your build complete! It will definitely be interesting to see what kind of power the transmission can hold.

If the tranny doesn't break in the first 2K miles of break in ,it will last a while

I forgot to add, I have a Gintani carbon-carbon clutch, its bites extremely extremely hard. I love it. 1-5th gear, full WOT, no slipping at all. I doubt any ESS customers would run a Gintani product since they hate them for some odd reason but if you ever want to get a great clutch, you should consider it.

Let us know your thoughts are once you get the OS giken clutch in. In my case, even though my car has only 18k miles on it, wanted to get a fresh stock clutch in before my Ess install
