Re-11's

gents, FYI.

I replaced the conti's yesterday with RE-11's. Very sticky tire.

No rubbing at all @ 255/35/19(F) 285/35/19(r). It looks really close though. It's a ZCP M3. IDK if they would have fit the rear if i went with 305's.

So now you can get registered for the track event and see how sticky they really are .............Phil

I have the same combination. Fantastic tire both in the dry and wet. If you track then make sure to rotate side-to-side every two track days.

i was eyeballing your car again Friday. I was next door at F.S. getting a quote. I just picked up a mini JCW coupe, fast little bastard.. Getting a tune and downpipe for it this week. bump to 255 Hp.

I let La Rae drive it and she burned the clutch.

You work next week? I'll bring it by and you can take it for a spin. It's a go-cart. "I'm pretty sure it will do 140+ mph" A dang mini!

You gotta JCDub.......nice move. I'm preparing to order a another Mini in the very near future. I'm waiting to see the package list for the 2013 Countryman. After 2 Cooper S hardtops it's time for a change. Stop by the office next time you're over my way. The car was filthy but it's heading to the lab this week for some work ...............Phil

You have a min too, lol. you know they are doing a 2013 Paceman coupe.. looks hot, kinda like a mini evoke. I asked them about it, if a JCW version is coming they said yes but werent sure if AWD too.

I put some O.Z. racing rims on it. The bad part is the car is so much fun to throw around, so much lighter. I'm curious as to what effect the extra 55 hp will have after the tune.

BTW, what do you think of this: I've can spend the 2-3K for the dinan rear end or sock it away for a S/C later. Any thoughts if the rear end is worth it?

When is next meet? I'm going. I've never tracked my car so I'll be an Uber newbie. Be gentle if a homda accord goes around the track quicker than me.

So here's what I think......if you are after power save the money until you get a supercharger fund. If you want some great sound with the ability to add to the package later, go Dinan. Dinan is a all in or nothing kind of thing. I think you have to be willing to add Dinan pieces to make it worth while. As for the track, get registered and let's go.......you'll have a blast. Most people get hooked after the first day.........Phil

Best street tire I've used, and I'm running 600+whp.

+1.

I ran NT05s and Yokohama AD08's on my previous HPF Stage 2.5 and they struggled to keep traction during the fun runs. So far the RE11's have been hooking up in 3rd and 4th during fun runs in my new SAAD PT71 upgrade.

There you go, and you're making more WHP than I am. Jim you have to go to the event!

I was convinced by FerrariChat to put RE-11's on a Challenge Stradale to replace the factory Pirelli P-Zero Corsa setup (a "track" tire). So far they've been great on that car on the street but still need some more seat time.

Can you post some pics of this setup on the M3? Curious how the 285/35's look on the car!

So the 285/35 fits on the ZCP and doesn't cause issues?

I believe on the GTS they use 285/30. That is a pretty big difference in outer diameter.

I am looking for some track tires to put on the ZCP wheels that can also be driven to and from the track. I have a different set of wheels for the street.

At this point AD08 can be had in 265/30 and 295/30. But there really aren't many other good options. NT05 doesn't have great sizes for ZCP (275/35 and 245/35 is ok but not much better than stock)

The 285/35/19 fit on my stock 19's with no issues, and I have lowering springs. I don't think it should be a problem on the ZCP's.

I'll get some pics for you guys. So far, no rubbing, turning issues etc. But It's snug, i don't think a 295 wouold have fit with ZCP and CH-r's with RE-11's.
