Neighbors :/
Hey guys, any ideas on a resolution to blocking the sprinkling overspray from the neighbor that is incessant on watering his grass with this water hose sprinkler setup? Would ceramic coating prevent any issues with sprinkler water?
To save some time on suggestions: -We're renting (sold our home a year ago and waiting out this crazy market) so permanent construction might not be viable. -I've spoke with the neighbor once and he doesn't seem like a di*k but he has to be aware that his sprinklers are causing over spray and watering our driveway. I have a very nice M3 coming in soon and I park it in the garage overnight but during the day I prefer to leave it out front for various reasons. I have noticed that he doesn't water if a car is there but I would be pissed if he sets up his sprinkler and wets my car when I get it. |

Just talk to them? That goes a long way.
And you didn't ask for my opinion, but don't buy an m3 if you're planning on jumping back into the housing market.

Second time it happened, I felt a little more reluctant going to his door because we already talked about it and nobody answered even though his truck was in the driveway, but hey that doesn't always mean someone is home. I get the feeling he might be passive aggressive and when confronted he just obliged so I could leave. Appreciate your financial advice |

There is always going to be overspray. Just ask him to text you or let you know the schedule if they are automatic so you can find an easy work-around.

The M3 isn't in place yet and you already started to prepare him? You have a garage, why not align with him and park it inside the occassional days he want to spray his grass?
Whats coming out of your water taps over there bro, acid?.. |

One issues after another, but yea our tap water system is hard water which has minerals in it that can not be kind to paint, especially if left in the sun after getting wet. I think we're gonna have a small fence built and be done with it. |

The real question is if the irrigation system is running off well water or off a public water supply. Well water is no bueno for any paint job, if it's off the main system then it's just regular tap water and it's more of a nuisance like a oak tree or something.
Either way I would just level with the guy and explain how you don't appreciate your sports car being senselessly splashed by water 2-3x a week, especially when it's parked on your property. Should be an easy adjustment, anybody could do it really. |

He's got a new sprinkler that has a shield to prevent overspray and only waters of no cars are in our driveway. Works for now... Thanks all for the helpful and wild suggestions! |

Glad it all worked out.
Funny enough I was going to suggest some type of shield to protect against the overspray. I had made one out of plexiglass a few years back. |
