How many people here went with the E93, and realize now that they never drop the top?
I've been thinking about the E93 since I live in California. But now I'm having second thoughts, how often will I really drop the top? For sure if I've got smoking hot babe in the passenger seat, but to and from the office? Hmm.. probably not so much. How many E93 owners here feel like the E92 would have been a better choice?

I am in North NJ and I can also tell you as long as it is not raining and the weather is above 55, the top is down.

I had an M Roadster years ago in my Hawaii house and had the top down twice in five years lol. Got poured on going over the Pali and that was enough.

If you're on the fence, consider the ~500 lbs you'd be adding to an already portly package.
I honestly feel like it ruins the nice, clean profile line of the coupe, too.

I second this, although I did have a 2013 mustang convertible for a week while my x5 was in shop and had the top down every day to and from work. If I had it I would use it but could never pull the trigger on a vert as the hard top always looks so much better.

When I drive in to San Francisco, if I take 280, I've had the experience of having temp drop 20 degrees in about 1 min in Oceanview (that was about a month ago), but then you just put the windows up. As a recent transplant from MN I honestly can't see ever have a non-'vert again; it's like land sailing and I fecking love it. Now if you're a track guy - or wanna be one - then obviously a 'vert doesn't work with your self-identity but here's the deal for me: in my 30s I had delusions of hitting the track weekly, now that those are behind me I realize with work, friends, family, etc ... it just ain't happening and even if it did it would be monthly at best. The daily lack of land sailing for one day a month or less on the track is just a ridiculous trade off for me. BTW - in my experience, most smokin hot babes don't like the top down - especially over 50 mph - since it messes up their hair ... but then I only have a sample pool of 1. |

I almost never drive with top up! As I live in AZ, my car stays in the garage all summer long, as it's too hot to drop the top. If you are afraid of wind blowing around a girlfriend's hair, buy a wind deflector. They are well worth the money!

The top is down almost every day when the temps are >45 degrees. I have had the top down during light rain and snow showers.

I had a vert for six months over here in Virginia and sold it. This made me realize I almost never dropped the top, so i'm getting an e92 for my next car

Do it I dont think you'll regret it, I'm currently waiting for the perfect e93 to go up for sale so I could get myself into one. I think its definitely an experience you'll cherish for many years to come..the fact the car has a 414 hp V8 engine and a metal rather than cloth roof doesnt hurt either

I usually drop the top only during the weekends. Sometimes I wish I went with the E92 but that all changes when you drop the top.
Plus, girls love the E93 |

I dont have an E93 but i do have a vert. I can say that down here in houston it almost feels wrong not to have the top down after sundown. It feels awkward without it down. Of course during the day its up since its too hot.
Convertibles arent for everyone. If youre having second thoughts now and you dont even have it yet... Maybe you should stick with the coupe |
