Hello Dean,
Awesome list of parts ! Quick question...I see you have a good crank in the listing. If someone were to experience rod-bearing failure, to the point where the crank is damaged, is the solution simply to replace the crank with new bearings (and possibly the rod if damaged) ? I hear of people doing entire engine swaps for a failed bearing. I have access to a shop and would like to know that its possible to just change out the broken parts. Thank you for your time ! GM |

Thanks for the reply!
I see your point in the ease of simply replacing the engine altogether...or replacing what's needed if you have the shop/tools. I'm actually just entertaining the idea of building a spare engine for: 1.) just for fun 2.) to have a back-up. Really a pretty machine to look at and I would rather spend my money on building an engine than paying thousands for a warranty that I may never even use. GM |

Dean, Spoke with you on the phone a couple weeks ago. Got the engine out and it is looking rough. Have you acquired a block yet? Mine is looking like it is done.
Thanks. Jeff |
