Not a direct swap on the EPS system. EPS subs are 7 ohms. SWS are either 4 or 2 ohms.

I have been thinking about the stealthbox setup, but am worried about the added weight... Any idea how much it weighs included the two 13tw5's? where is your amp mounted, and which did you go with? thanks...

A 13TW5 weighs about 19lbs each plus maybe another 20lbs for the enclosure so 60 lbs give or take. JL doesn't list the weight spec for the stealthbox so I'm just guessing as to the weight of the enclosure.

I ordered one of those last week as well, still hasn't showed up though. Where did you end up mounting your amp? I looked around in the trunk a bit and it seems adding it to the bottom of the rear deck is the only reasonable spot back there without doing some sort of more detailed custom install. I want to keep it as simple as possible and as easily removable as possible.

4.Tre/ all but two marks.
5.Bass/three passed middle.

EQ settings: 100,+10, 200,- 6, 500 -7, 1K-9, 2K-12, 5K+3, 10K+11

This should give you the full rich sound you are after. "Anything above middle is + and below is -".
HaHa, my '10 enhanced sound eq only goes to +/- 10. I just kept thinking of spinal tap. Turn it up to 11!

Just install a JL stealthbox... mounted a JL HD750 under the rear deck. Make sure you get a good signal processor to clean up the output from the factory amps. Otherwise the bass will not be clean. Lastly, I recommend you pull out the thick insullation under the rear deck. Makes a huge difference in allowing the sound to travel into the passenger compartment and I noticed absolutely no increase in road noise.

Search the forums, there are LOTs of examples and testimonials of the SWS upgrade + EPS - it's a fantastic upgrade with plenty of bass (right under your seat vs in the trunk behind tons of sound deadening material). For the added mass to the car, you can't beat the SWS upgrade, a nice digital amp, and sub volume control.

You mean other than the crap ton of padding that's already there? And how exactly do you insulate something to let sound pass through?? Hint: You can't.

When I say "pull out" I mean remove. Not sure how you read that I was insulating anything.

Absolutely! I admit it. No shame in it. Nothing like listening to music and getting a back massage at the same time! LOL!

This project doesnt seem that hard, just swap the subs under the seats with higher power ones, hook the existing leads to a line out converter, and power the subs with a decent one or two channel amp, depending on your subs. I wouldnt use a line out converter if I wanted high quality highs, but it should be just fine for bass.
