I remember having my first BMW e90 325i manual red/beige int while in 1st year of residency training, hooked on BMWs since then, the e9x M3 is just special though!
Currently have SSII e92 M3 ZCP with silver/black interior, love the exterior color, it's an exclusive M color & so different than regular silvers we see around all the time.
I got the wheels refinished in satin bronze, gives it a nice contrast, your front wheels will likely be that color anyway from brake dust unless you clean them on a weekly basis... Ha Ha!
Consider adding black kidney grills and some carbon fiber exterior accessories here & there, it'll contrast nicely with SSII.
Eventually, get test pipes & tune while keeping the stock exhaust, it just enhances the stock sound & amplifies the induction note without changing the character, all while feeling stock when cruising!, the engine just breathes better!

Nice! Great to hear from some others with similar stories.

I actually think on Silverstone that the chrome grilles, side markers, emblem and exhaust go well with the paint. I think I'll stick with the OEM silver 359's for a while but you aren't kidding about the brake dust! I have barely driven it three days this week and the front wheels are already gray from the dust lol.

My dream setup would be KW V3, Eisenmann Race or Akrapovic Slip on with a challenge sport x pipe. But in the meantime I want to get some Lux angel eyes, and GTS style front carbon lip, and OEM exhaust mod. That really should do it for me. This car seems so perfect already out of the box.

Added the painted reflectors today. Next on short list is angel eyes and spacers. Do most of you go front/rear 12/10 or 15/12?
I ended up doing 18f 15r spacers, looks great! Malek@MRF runs the same size on his car with ZCP wheels with no issues either.

I sure did! I think about how fortunate I am a lot.

Thanks, I know I saw maybe one or two coupes in the EAS spacer thread with 18/15 but no sedans.

I have an E90 so you're good! No real rubbing here.

I'll have some pics soon, haven't been able to drive it much since I installed them because of all the rain up here

And I'm sure it will be a higher chance of chipping, any close to flush fitment usually is :/

I just wanted to say congratulations again
We joked for years and years about this moment and it's finally happened.

You're one of the long-time members on here who has exhibited nothing but passion and love for the E9x M3 through the years, despite not owning one throughout most of your forum career.

Needless to say, welcome [finally] to the club and enjoy in good health.

Thanks man, it does mean a lot. There was nothing but respect from all you M3 owners when I kept posting opinions and whatnot all the while with a little old 328i. It feels good to finally be a member of the M3 community.

Thank you I appreciate that and have to agree. If it was easy it wouldn't have been worthwhile. Your car is incredible by the way

Congratulations, PGY3 surgery resident here, I feel your pain although you'll done soon. Honestly, my e90 m3 is hugely therapeutic for me, especially when during the winter months when you go to hospital before sunrise and go home after sundown. The car keeps me grinding during those "dark times." Good luck and looking forward to updates on the car!

I wouldn't go more than 12mm rear with an e90 on ZCP's if you're running 275s in the back, otherwise rubbing will be likely. e92 has more fender clearance.

I started to get chips just behind the rear door, on the thin lower section. I had PPF done, less than $100 for both sides

You know the struggle lol. I'm in Family Med, definitely appreciate the help of all our surgeons! I remember another forum member once said how the E90 was their daily dose of medicine while in residency. No matter how bad the day was, the drive home put them in a great mood. It certainly has felt that way for me the last week! Good luck to you as well!

The PPF is a good idea. My current tires are 245/265. If I go up on tire sizes I might keep it conservative with a 12/10 spaced setup.

I sure did, many people complimented the old 328i on numerous occasions. I definitely felt fortunate to even have that car when I did fresh out of college. Thanks for the warm welcome!

It must be one of the last E90's ever. Just looked at the build date and it was October 2011. Pretty neat.

Awesome story. Lots of parallels with mine. I too bought my first e92 M3 saving up from moonlighting shifts during my fellowship back in 2011. On my 3rd iteration currently, a e90. The love only deepens with time.
