Its a very nice looking product.
But I don't understand for the people who have a HFC you will only get 5BHP from this system! Then thats just like putting in a drop in filter. Right?

I can answer this one since it was my car being tested..
When my car was dyno'd previously to having the box installed it already had the BMC filter which was good for a few extra horses, so taking that out and adding this intake made up the extra difference. I hope that clears things up for you.

Ok... with a combination of the Akra, remap and intake it dyno'd at 460.1bhp at the flywheel, not sure about the wheels, you will have to ask Imran about that one.

Here is the graph from Donbona's car from Saturday - at the wheels and at the fly - mods: evolve ECU tune, evolve carbon intake, Akrapovic Evolution system.
We didn't take a baseline on the day before fitting the intake as we were not planning to dyno the car but it gained an additional 5-6 BHP from the last time his car was on our dyno - when we fitted the Akra, BMC and ECU Tune. |

I am quite surprised at the 460bhp figures. Looking at CA's car and dyno; if I am not mistaken, they got 460 with just an Eisenmann Race, pulley and remap. So if I have the Remus Race AA pulleys and rempa; 460 would easily be achievable. Wonder what the BHP be like with the addition of the Intake on top of what I already have?

Hmm maybe I need to add the pulleys too.
After that what else can we do apart from turbos and superchargers (which is one thing I wont do). Quote:

On a dyno dynamics the correct gear for a manual M3 is 3rd gear and for a DCT M3 is 4th gear. If you dyno a manual M3 in 4th gear the BHP is about 20-30 BHP higher. An M3 without a decent full exhaust system is never going to compete in terms of power with a car with one if all other mods are more or less the same. |
