The only thing that's keeping me from joining H2R is the fact that my primary residence is in Houston at the moment. If I lived in Austin all the time then without a doubt I would have joined already.

Enough thread jacking, I'm working on possibly setting up a sponsor for the 2/6 event and it seems that the event will be in the ball park of $275-300 a piece. Who ever is really interested let me know so that I can get an preliminary headcount.

I'm in, I think Eric gave you my email address. I might be able to set up a sponsor.

Very interested in seeing an M track day. Am a permanent member of local track in Houston and maybe able to assist in track arrangement as well as instructors as needed. Good luck and let me know if I can help.

Hey John! Good seeing you on the forums. I hadn't seen you out at Driveway since I was taking my L2 class. I just finished up all my L2 sessions and tested out good. Looking at getting my car up to spec for L3...although L2 is a real challenge and keeping me plenty busy. I really like the technical aspects of the L2 layout.

They have relaxed a number of requirements for their L3 course...although some of the requirements are just smart safe things to do. Can't really argue with a good number of them. Even if I was at H2R it would be a good idea to have many of the same saftey items in place for the potential accident at 120mph.

I will keep this event in mind for sure.

At that price, how many cars will be on track and how many sessions? Or did I miss something that it's a fully open day?

Hey, I was there. Parked about 3 cars uphill from you. Your car looked great.

Thanks...you are the white ///M3 right? Sweet ride.

Had a great time Saturday...I had never driven H2R before but based on previous experience they threw me in with the red group. LOL

The first session was trial by fire, but steadily improved over the next three and passed a few people (woohoo!). If this event comes to life it should be even more enjoyable. I hope to see you there!

Garage List
Harris Hill is having it's own DE on Dec. 19th, I just signed up. $175 and I believe Jason Hart is one of the instructors. I'll be in a spec Boxster racer unless a few M3 show up, then we can go hassle the Vettes and Vipers.

Thanks for the info. I'll have my new wheels and tires by then, so I'll be there as long as it doesn't interfere with family holiday plans.

I will be there too! There is also an event on the 13th of this month with Jason Hart, but I think it is a more novice class. Either way, here is the info:

Jason Hart Racing School (11/13)
JHR is back for another round at H2R. Jason's school is a great way to maximize your driving and figure out what you and your car can really do.
We've seen nothing but happy students walk away from one of Jason's schools. And they've all improved their time by at least a couple of seconds. Sometimes, it's significantly more.
Jason does a corner-by-corner analysis of H2R, detailing suggested lines tailored specifically to you and your car.
Cost is $300 for a full day.
To reserve a spot, please contact Jason directly at
jason@jasonhartracing.com

Hope my wheels are delivered by then, but I doubt it
