How did you conclude there’s paintwork?

Maybe not significant but it states right in the description, "The selling dealer notes paint touch-ups on the hood and front bumper cover and that the rear bumper has been refinished."

Ah gotcha. I have been following E92s on BAT for a long time and this sample might very well set the all time record for this model. Typically you see people bidding at $20k for the first 6 days and it shoots up to 50k in the last hour. But this car is already at $53k with 6 more days to go.

Good luck OP!

I appreciate your feedback here but I have driven the car 14k miles over the last 7 years. The car has minor rock chips like any other 29k mile car. They have been professionally touched up. As stated in the listing only other paintwork done was the rear bumper. It was professionally removed and sprayed by one of the most reputable shops on the east coast.

Thanks everyone for your kind remarks. The last 7 years of ownership have been amazing. I have enjoyed every moment behind the wheel. Much appreciation to this online community. This will definitely NOT be my last e9X m3!

ok so i've gotta ask.. what was your total return when you factor in all costs (maintenance, insurance, storage, etc.)

Paint work must not have been that significant! Great job with the sale.

IMO if the paintwork is isolated to the bumpers, it's really not a big deal as long as the quality is excellent. EAG refinishes their bumpers all the time. When you get paint work on body panels like fenders, hoods, doors, etc. that's when it becomes a definite no-go for me.
