Cloth/leather combination for the M3 interior.

As I was going through the M3 catalog with my sales, i realized there was another option for the M3 interior: Cloth/leather combination speed. I have seen pics of different color leather, but not yet seen pictures of this option on the internet. Did anyone ordered this interior option? If yes, can you please post some pics up so i have a better vision of it. Thanks!

It is true though, as far as I have seen, some exist but no good resolution pics of the Speed Cloth interior from an owner as yet...

What is the cloth made out of?.... I don't understand why they have to put a big line down the center of it and not just keep it plain!

Do you know if getting the "Speed Cloth" option negates the heated front seats option?

No, it does not; not sure why you would think that. It is the base offering, so heating is obviously compatible.

Well, it's called speed cloth, so it's got racing stripes! I like the stripes; adds a little pizzaz.

Yep, does look more sporty, IMO, than full leather. Also, this material will likely 'breathe' better if you're in a hot climate - something to think about.

He might think that because several manufactures only offer heated seats if you get the leather. I just ordered speed cloth with heated seats and the BMW AG computer didn't blow chunks, so it looks like it is a valid combination

I'd like to know what it's made of as well...cheap a$$ nylon (like in the e46 M3?), cotton, etc.? Anybody know? Also, are the door panels partially covered w/fabric too?

I wonder why BMW did not offer the alacantara leather option that was offered on the e46 M3, that looked awesome!

Hard to tell from my small notebook screen. Are you talking about around the door speaker? You're welcome.

This version of half leather/alcantara looks better than the tri colored stripe version on the E46 M3.

Yes, that's what I mean. If it was leather there'd be a horizontal stitching also.

Best regards, south
