I'm looking at a set of winter tires, which will be fitted to a 2011 M3 ZCP.

Blizzak LM-60s 255/35/19 Fronts and 275/35/19s Rears

Questions I have:
- Does anyone have this size on a ZCP? Likes/dislikes? Do they rub?
- The TPMS is from a 2008. I understand this is not compatible with a 2011. If I choose to skip TPMS, how does the car react -- does it constantly nag you?

I've never run the Blizzaks, but without the right TPMS, there will be a tire pressure icon illuminated on the dash until you get the proper TPMS (..or code it out).

I always use a winter set of 18". More rubber for winter driving. The warning TPMS light will be ON all the time. But I read somewhere that leaving this warning for months will make in permanent and you need the dealer to reset it when the time comes to install your summer set wheels. I don't know about that but the longest I ran it w/o TPMS was 4 weeks until I finally installed the proper TPMS sensor.

I ran a blizzak tire on my ZCP for the winter. They were stock size though, not 275.

i'm almost positive that's exactly what i run - but i'm at work, and can't check to confirm. no rubbing. i only put it on for the winter, and even so, i rarely drive it in snow. if you live in the northeast, i suggest you still get a 4 wheel drive car for the winter. well worth it.

That is a fairly common setup for M3's using ZCP (or even the regular 19") wheels for winter. The relatively wide widths will hamper performance in deep snow, but for milder winters it works well.

If your winter is severe, get a narrower set of wheels, probably 18", and run 4 'front' sized tires.

I went without TPMS sensors for a about four months and didn't have a need to get the dealer to reset anything.

So ben hooked me up with that setup for my ZCPs last winter.

Let me tell you, they work great. No rubs. They look awesome because they are huge and honestly there is no trouble even in deep snow. We had the worst winter ever in history and had 45 days with 20 INCHES of snow on the ground in a ROW and 75 straight days of at least 12 INCHES of snow base in a row.

I drove the M3 all but 3 days.

I think you'll do fine.

+1--I ran the 255/275 Blizzanks on 220M last year without TPMS. No rubbing, and TPMS light went off when I reinstalled my ZCPs. Handled great in the snow
