Die M Drei ist hier!

I took delivery this morning at the Performance Center. I highly recommend PCD. Driving the M3 on what could be a karting track was much more fun than I expected, and very enlightening about the car's capabilities. I liked the fact that the instructors "push" you. I have to say, the whole BMW staff was extremely friendly and enthusiastic. In particular, the driving instructors seemed extremely happy with their jobs , and eager to spread the joy.

I just got back home, so I'll try to post pics and more impressions tomorrow.

Congrats! Can't wait to see pics. Your absolutely right about the instructors they are awesome! I had the best time. In fact I have never heard anything negative about the Performance Driving School.

I'm afraid I'll have to translate that with Google. All my German is in the title But thanks anyway (well, I assume it's nice).

Beautiful car, but in my opinion, get some nice and light aftermarket rims since those 18 inch BMW rims look downright hideous and too small.

It is nice. It just sounds awful

Congratulations on your M3. IMO The car looks great with the 18s. 18s are very practical: good for comfort, pretty good on the track and less prone to curb rash. Unless of course you want to go for being visually different than stock.

As far as German is concerned here is something to think about:

Germans: "Der M drei ist hier" would be correct since Germans use masculine gender to refer to cars.

English Speakers, Greeks and Italians: Refer to a BMW using the feminine gender. Go figure

Good to know. The French also use the feminine gender for cars. I guess it's a Mediterranean thing.

I'm going to keep the 18's, at least for a while. I think they're OK (I'm not really crazy about either OEM type, but the 18's color goes well with Silverstone), and the DC area is part of "the land that public works forgot".

Car looks great! Don't listen to people who say the 18's are 'hideous', they are in the minority. Most people prefer the color and style of the 18's, they just wish they were a bigger(19's). Just get a nice drop(Dinan or Eibach for a lower drop) maybe some spacers and the 18's will fill out the fenders nicely! Of course, you can't go wrong with a nice set of HRE's!

Yup, Google's the only way I got that line too!

I love the 18's on SSII!

I decided I prefered 18's when I saw them on a Melbourne Red M3 looked hot, I hope they look as good on my Blue M3.
