Except for the silver "H" logo on the rear deck lid. I'd never buy a car with that logo on it. Hyundai is Korean for "Piece of shit on wheels".

Of course it does! These idiots haven't had an original concept for a car in 10 years. They've copied BMW, Honda, Nissan, Infiniti. It'll be a great piece of shit.

I was never a fan of Hyundai till I got suck driving a Santa Fe for 6 months while waiting for my 335i to come in from Euro delivery. The car did exactly what is was supose to do. I took it snowboarding and it was great in the snow, good gas milage, and best of all NOT ONE SERVICE ISSUE.

There cars are not pieces of shit like everyone likes to think they are. Even Toyota said that to them their biggest threat is Hyundai and thats says a lot.

Like the Japanese have had an original thought in 30 years??? Puleease, it's the most thought incestuous design culture on the planet. "Copy, Refine, Produce, repeat."

The implication that Honda, Nissan, or Infiniti are somehow breaking new ground is comical.

This new Hyundai is at least interesting, dunno how it's going to work out but it's interesting. Remember it's NOT the little emblems on the hood that make a car worthwhile.

The handling of this car will suck because the Genesis sedan handles worse than a Ford Taurus.

WOW, you usually seem very informed and make rather calculated posts but this is just crazy talk. Hyundai and "piece of shit on wheels" was exactly what it was 5+ years ago but as of recent their cars have become exceptionally good and very solid cars. Not real performers or anything like that but they perform their job and are very comfortable. I should know, I drive an 07 Elantra daily for work and put 30k miles on it this year with not 1 single problem. Car has good pickup, handles fine, has keyless entry, power everything all for 15k. That can't be beat and the warranty is great if it's ever needed. This is our 2nd Hyundai as a work car and the first never gave us any issues either, not 1, unless replacing tires is a hassle?

They all copy each other to a degree. Each car has something of its own flare but some cues also come from ripoffs on other cars. It happens. Regardless the Hyundai's have begun to look decent, which isn't a bad thing at all.

lol Not exactly a red neck. Are you a tree-hugging take it in the ass flaming liberal?

My truck is a Nissan, I wouldn't buy a GM (Cadillac is GM, btw), and the only Ford I might consider would be an F-350. Maybe. But probably not. Whoever comes out with the first HD truck between Nissan and Toyota will probably be my next.

Sure, I'll give you that everyone copies a good idea to a point. Look at how many different companies copy the 3 series. But the lines of a Hyundai have very little original idea to them at all. The Japaneese cars did quite a bit of imitating, but that was more on the technology side than the style side. IMO.

I've only driven Hyundai rentals, and they have been far worse than any other makers rental I've ever had. They've been uncomfortable, way underpowered (even for a rental) and just felt like a poorly made car. The last one I had was 4 weeks ago. I've never test driven one at a dealer, maybe someday I will. We'll see.

Could be. Time will tell. There are quite a few Korean brands that are worthy of consideration, but I don't think that Hyundai will be one any time soon. They have a terrible marketing team, their senior leadership team, specifically the CEO, seems to have no idea how to run a company and manage people. They've had to sack the American leadership team three times in 4 years. That tells me they don't know how to recruit people, and they don't know how to manage them. When you have to fire people that often, you're doing a shitty job hiring them in the first place. If you can't hire a good senior leadership team, how the hell can you convince me you know how to build a car that will last?

What car did you have as a rental? I'd think the only cars offered by Hyundai as rentals would be the Accent(small compact) and the Sonata(mid size). The Accent would be crap, it's there most base model. The Sonata on the other hand is a rather nice car. I drove one a few months back. Had decent pep, nothing crazy but it moved itself ok. The interior wasn't bad either. Decent materials, and felt fairly solid structurally.

If I were strapped and wanted that kind of car and the best bang for my buck I'd definitely look at the Sonata for sure.

I'm sure if BMW's were offered as rentals we'd all find something wrong with them. After a few hundred people drive a car like they stole it just about anything will feel uncomfortable.

Some people are really obsessed with the Hyundai badge which is sad.

I believe the owner of the Bentley is the owner of Hyundai of Bel Air.
