Got to drive the G87 M2 at the performance center this week, it feels more like the next gen E92 M3 in terms of feel and proportions when driving. The change in steering feel with the electric rack was noticeable, but not that bad IMO. The m240ix was unpleasant in comparison.

Didn't get to drive the G80/2 M cars, but did get an instructor hot lap in one and they feel like a shrunk M5 but have a more grunt than the M2 as expected.

My first time ever at the Glen.. I won't lie, it was a little intimidating with all the GT cup cars and then my little e92 lol.. Went with a private track rental and there was probably 2-3 street cars, the rest were cup cars and dedicated race cars.

My fastest time of the 2 day trip was 2:15.7... Took some getting comfortable around the Esses and really learning how to take the boot.

Can't wait to go back!

Good looking Glen laps. Really nice line at turn 9, where most people chicken out and late apex and give up a ton of time. Do the same at T11, the fast way is a way earlier apex than you think, there's a ton more room on the exit than the blue bushes make you think. Bit more speed everywhere and you'll knock of 4-5 more seconds.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback.

I’m pretty sure these laps video’d were my 2:18-2:20 laps, my fastest was a 2:15 and the car definitely has the capability to go faster. It’s more of me just growing the balls to go faster lol

Maybe next time!

After 4 track days, my Hawk dtc70 pads are cooked, so that leaves me Looking for some track pad recommendations.

Thinking either PFC08, SR33 from stoptech, or Pagid rs1?

Any thoughts/feedback? Definitely interested in a pad that’ll last a little longer lol

I was running the DTC70’s but felt they were very hard on my rotors. Ran the Pagid RS29 at Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow and really liked them. Laguna Seca coming up in November and still enough material for another track day.

My PFC08s have lasted 4 track weekends at VIR and maybe 2500 of street miles (stock calipers and rotors) and there's still plenty of material left. They're an endurance compound, so they wear super well.

I'm a big fan of the SR33/34 Pads but I've been running Ferodo 3.xx (forget the compound) on my new APs since they were included free but they're way too aggressive at initial bite IMO. Trying the Hawk ER-1 endurance compound next, I really liked the Pagids 29's back in the day... They're really easy to modulate and last pretty long.

Has anyone sold a built car or bought one? Mine is a 6speed only been track driven for the last 3 years has 110k miles all maintenance done. Aero, full cage, 4.44 diff, mcs, AP brakes, strom uprights. Very competitive TT3 or st3 car. Thinking of ordering a new m2. Would also have a trailer to sell aswell. Just curious on what I should start the pricing at. Thanks I’m advanced for any help or knowledge.
