LUX H8 - won't turn on after multiple unlocking of car
Installed my LUX H8's today. Took around 20 min for first one and 10 min for second one.
First pic is after first one was installed. Second pic is after both installed. Really happy with this. Totally improves the look of the car. No more yellowish angel eyes, just bright white! Only problem is that after unlocking the car multiple times to see them light up, the rings stop coming on. I have been doing this all day because I keep on wanting to look at them (slight obsession). Only when I start the car do they start working again. Anyone got any thoughts on this? Please refer to following thread for pics and details http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=292

Think I found the problem. seems this is not a result of the LUX. It is a lockout of the welcome lights. They stop working after being operated 10 times. It requires an engine restart to reset this.

LUX would not affect the way the angel eyes behave inside the headlight, they only change the color

Thanks for the confirmation. Loving these lights. BMW should have done this. Lucky for LUX to provide a solution.

lux look like shit compared to the yellow.... if you wanted a nice set of angel eyes you should've kept it stock especially on black or opted to choose OSS or AiB
you pretty much chose the worst option possible... |

Looks better stock? Are you high? OSS? i guess everyone should just opt pay twice as much and tear apart their M3s to get their headlights out and ship them off somewhere for 2 weeks?

are you seriously complaining about pricing? if you knew the difference between the two architectures you would know that the OSS kit is entirely different than the PnP nature of AiB and LUX which merits it's higher price.... and yes, looks better stock on black. |

yes OSS is brighter, but now everyone is up for baking their headlights open...so IMO, lux is the best "plug and play" option, but opinions will obviously vary..too bad you don't know how to discuss such opinions in a mature manner... and IMO the LS3 kit is nicer than the OSS kit, two complete circles around both AE rings keep on trollin'

OP, thanks for your post - never knew (or have forgotten) about the welcome light lockout.
to the troll(s), there are numerous discussions on aftermarket angel eye mods at http://www.m3post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=125. to each their own...

Just so you know, LUX H8 V3 is MUCH brighter and also much cheaper the AiB, so now sure why you would want to choose that
