Most in the thread chose the wrapped reflectors as the focal point of their haste.

I like your build OP, very nice color.

Good move passing on the dct ssp clutches. IMO, without control of the dct TCM, your only halfway thier with upgrading the clutches. You would need to program the dct to take advantage of the new clutches, handle the power, and keep the oem smoothness of the trans.
That being said, rumor has it that gintani now has complete control of the dct logic and can not only install better clutches, but reprogram the trans to take advantage of them. I guess time will tell if they have a solution...

I know this might come as a huge shock to some people and may break some hearts, but none of the vendors reverse engineer this stuff and all of the vendors buy their tools and software from a third party. There's a Guy in Israel who provides all the tools and software these guys use. There are other tools available, but the Guy in Israel is the one I think most of them use. Often times, one vendor (the one with the most money) will pay the Guy in Israel to develop a new feature, or pay him to reverse engineer an interface like the TCU. They get this in exchange for a short period of time of exclusive rights. From what I've seen, it's usually a VERY SHORT exclusive time -- maybe only 30 days. I know of some new ECU tuning featured paid for by one of the vendors, and it was only a month or two later that same feature was available to all the others as well. I know it's a real shocker and may burst a few bubbles, but that's how it usually works. I sincerely hope that whether they bought the tools or not, that they can succeed in offering upgraded DCT clutches.

That doesn't shock me at all, that's how these things work. Sometimes it's just knowing the right people in the right seats at certain companies to help crack these things or leak out the code.

The reason why I brought it up is bc if it's true it's very good news for DCT owners. I could care less what tuner comes out with it. If it exists, it's good stuff.

I agree. I don't care what who comes up with it first...I only care that it comes up...and I'm a 6MT owner!

I was real close to getting a 6mt, my last three cars were all MT, but I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the dct. I love the dct, right now it's only issue is not being able to handle bigpower on this platform. It would be nice if that changes and we have options.

One last update before Frozen Grey gets traded in for my F80 this weekend.

Benvo was able to tune her to spit flames with the GT4, video below.

Figured I'd share my new tags over here.

Center fucked something up and my FRZN M3 tags are currently in limbo, so I have these for now:
