Autotive Lifestyle Event 6/8

Revvolution.com and EAS are sponsoring this event on Saturday June 8th. So far I know of around 10 M cars that are going...is anyone else interested in joining? The event is being held at PPIR and they are selling laps on the oval and the inner track to raise money for Warrior Life, a charity that supports organizations like Wounded Warriors, so it’s for a good cause. They are also having a dyno shoot out for you S/C’ed guys

The event starts at 2 so perhaps we can all meet for lunch and caravan to PPIR?

We have a way better selection for BBQ if that's what you want!
I'm in. Hopefully some other drivers are going so we can lay down some rubber on the infield.

Well I just posted another thread about this very same thing. Guess I'm slow on the uptake. C Springs has some great wings (and views) at Hooters off of Woodmen, or the Buffalo Wild Wings on N. Academy. Either way, I'm in and willing to take the lead for the locale'....just need to know who else wants to go!? All I really want to do is just go somewhere beforehand and take the damn place over!!!

Thanks for taking lead on the pre-meet JP! I'm indifferent on a lunch spot, any others have a strong opinion? Rudy's is great, and Bryan has a hidden gem for BBQ...or we can get wings!

For everyone Denver and north, lets meet in the cars & coffee parking lot at park meadows mall. I believe the parking lot is near sears. Depending on lunch we can meet up whenever works for everyone. Let me know what works.

There is a group of about 6 cars meeting at the cars and coffee parking lot at park meadows. We are meeting up at 12 then driving down.

We will meet at the cars and coffee parking lot at Park Meadows Mall. I believe the parking lot is in front of what use to be the Great Indoors now Sears or something.

Probably around noon. JP is going to establish the logistics. It will be fun if we can all caravan down there together!

Park Meadows to the Springs, with some spirited driving...35 minutes tops. So the hot spot for lunch, according to Bryan (BMW135er) is going to be B'z BBQ. 625 Paonia St Colorado Springs, CO 80915 I'm going to contact them friday afternoon about reservations or at least holding down a large enough table, and will arrive there early on Saturday (1130-1145) to secure parking and table(s). I need a headcount soon folks, of people and cars....gonna try to steal some orange cones so we can all park in the same area...LOL

I figure we can depart as a crew and navigate I-25 through town. If anyone has ever done "threat driving", it can be alot of fun. Basically it's a blocking game while staying on the bumper of the car in front of you. We learned pieces and parts of it in the military. I can discuss in further detail saturday.

I'm down. Car is entered into show at the AR Design booth, so i need to be there and setup by 2pm. I may cruise down with the group, but I don't think I will have time to stop and get food in the springs.

I have a huge pile on nsx suspension parts to get installed Saturday prior to the event, but I can try to make part of the lunch.
Is there a schedule for the various events? I'd prefer not to spend the better part of the day down there if I don't have to...

BMW-135er, I called EAS this morning and the track events are going to be on going through out the day...so no real formal schedule. The individual who is running the track event's is going to call me back to give further clarification and I will keep everyone updated as I get additional info. JP, although BZ's BBQ is the bomb, we may want to consider choosing a place right off I-25 for logistics. BZ's is tricky to find and doesn't have a parking lot, only street parking. Also, he is a one man operation and if we have a big group it could take awhile to get our food. Just a thought.
