Awesome write up and really a great race tale. Amazing to believe that car was back running after that accident. Very well done and thanks for contributing.

I was sure it was done when I saw it being towed into our pitbox. I expected at least for the car to overheat or have a bad shimy. nothing! stayed between 6k-7.2k rpm the entire time and reliable as a swiss watch…or should I say, BMW M3

Cool! I race V5 as well in the VLN.

But you say: "321 HP from the oem M3 engine". You mean 295 HP from the 3.0 l engine? That is the max in V5.

wow, i really enjoyed reading the story. Thanks for sharing.
Love the way you describe the slow cars are like the moving chicanes.
I used to track my e36m3. So, racing a real 321hp e36m3 on the ring is my dream.

Hats off to you!

btw, how come the mirrors on your car are different than the 1's on the US's e36 m3?

I am very envious of you. You have fulfilled something I only dream of. I would be very interested in the route you took to get into the 24h race in detail.

Pure awesomeness!!! Congrats!

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!
