2009 E90 M3 6MT Alpine White Slicktop Stripper 67k miles

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
Sold

Item Interest
With a heavy heart, I'm putting up my recently acquired dream spec 2009 (LCI) E90 M3 6MT, Slicktop single hump, Alpine White over Black Novillo Leather for sale. Currently has 67k miles. Clean CA title, no loan or lien on it.

This car is basically an enthusiast spec'd stripper, the only options are the 19" 220M wheels, backup sensors, and leather. No EDC, no CA, no NAV, no heated seats, etc. Oh, and she has the rare fold-down rear seats!!

The car has always been garaged, the paint is mint and the interior still smells new. I've owned this car for about 2 months now and during my ownership, I have done the following:
  • All preventative measures-
  • Full Rod bearings serviced (MRF Engineering)
  • New motor mounts
  • Throttle actuators changed (Mpower Motorsports w/lifetime warranty)
  • Fuel breather valve changed
  • All fluids changed (Brake, transmission, power steering, diff, coolant)
  • All filters changed (air/oil/transmission/cabin)
  • New Spark Plugs
  • New battery installed and coded.
  • Aftermarket-
  • AlpineMSS motor tune (will come with OEM files and stage 1/2)
  • Autosolutions shifter (must-have for 6MT)
  • UUC Corsa exhaust
  • K&N drop-in filter

My intention was to keep this car forever so my goal was to make her bulletproof and problem-free for the long term. Pretty much all the common issues with the E9x M3 has been addressed, she is dialed in 100 percent and runs absolutely flawless. If you guys are looking for an E90 M3 you can just get in and drive another 100k mile worry-free, this is the one.

The car had a very minor accident very early in its life with the 1st owner, the right headlight/fender and bumper were replaced. The repair is flawless and even the PPI tech couldn't tell.

Looking at all my receipts, I spent over $6500 on the car in the past 2 months not including labor on some of the items to get her exactly where is. She needs nothing and is ready for the next owner to enjoy . I'm currently selling both my F80 and my E90 and consolidated to 1 car for now because an investment opportunity came up.

PPI was done 2 months ago and I can email it to potential buyers along with the CarFax and Autocheck, I am more than happy to take it to any shop of your choice for another PPI (within a reasonable driving distance for me). Shipping is definitely an option and I know a great company to use.

Congrats on pending sale Dan! You do indeed have a rare spec E90, and I'm curious about your decision to sell after only 2 months and such a big investment.

I have noticed reading through posts that there are quite a few guys who have sold their F80 and gone back to E9x, and many have said how they regretted selling their rare spec E90

So it appears you are down to just the E39 M5?

So I wanted to ask why sell the E90 and keep the E39 M5? It's not really any of my business but I'm interested in your thought process because for me, going from my E36 M3 to the E39 540i I found it to be a "bridge too far" and I missed the lighter weight and handling ability of my M3.

Clearly your E39 M5 is an exceptional car and I think you win either way, but just wondering.

GLWPS!

I am the lucky new owner of this M3. It was delivered yesterday after a cross country trip from California to Florida. I cannot remember the last time I purchased something that was so much better than I anticipated when it arrived. This e90 is flawless. Inside and out I would give it a 9.5-10/10. So much better than I could have anticipated.

Dan was a great seller to work with and was even kind enough to "throw in" a new Bilstein B12 kit. She sits perfectly and drives like a dream. Better than described in the post and pictures!

Thank you Dan. I truly appreciate the smooth transaction and I look forward to enjoying this car for many years to come.

It was a pleasure Armando. I'm glad we worked out a deal on those 359M wheels as well, it definitely completes the look!

Looks like she's in great hands, happy motoring my friend.

The car itself was $29k, I purchased the OEM 359M wheels (ZCP) and the new Michelin PS4S tires for an additional $3k. Total was $32k. Worth every penny and probably even more.

Love hearing the good stories. I bought my '11 E90M 6MT stripper (cloth, slicktop, single hump...the only option was the "smoker's package" which got you a DC plug) in 2017 with 50k miles on it for about $31k if I remember correctly? Values have flat-lined if not inflated since then, but there are some folks trying to get way too much money for the car. A simple thing like a sunroof can be the difference of $5k on a price of these things. Doesn't make sense. I'd say your price is good for the buyer, but where it should be for the seller. Great transaction all-around.

Yes, from accross the country.

The seller sent me several pictures, uploaded videos to YouTube, sent me photos of the receipts for the RB and all of the other modifications, which he shipped along with the car, and even sent me the title overnight in advance of the car being shipped.

We had a great arrangement. I paid him half via wire transfer. The day he received it he overnighted next the title. The following day, upon receipt of the title, I wired the balance of the money and then scheduled shipping, once I had confirmed he received the funds. It was a super smooth transaction.

The seller has replied to any questions I have had since, even as recently as yesterday. One of the best purchases I have made.

Thanks! Yeah, I was concerned having never purchased a car from an individual seller, let alone sight unseen and from accross the country, but it worked out great.

That car for $32k without the 359's is a sweet deal. You lucked out on this one!
